No I never have, my laptop goes really laggy and freezes sometimes so I don't think it'd work

Anyway, I've given up on this career, it got boring after two seasons

 

Yeah, though I haven't played in a long while due to moving house and not having an HD TV. My user is horushere. If anyone else on here wants to give us a game I think I might play at some point later on this evening and tomorrow.

 

Anyone playing X-Com Enemy Unknown?

 

I played it for a week when it came out, very addicting. But after a while it's too repetitive, too easy.

 

Yes it is. Having been bought up on 80s and 90s gaming i'm pleased to see this harks back to its roots as in Laser Squad and the 90s X-Coms.

Also, i've got a XBox 360 and it works marvellously on console.

 

I generally see strategy games as a PC genre. But this game works quite nicely on a console too.

 

Could use some advice, about to choose my xmas gifts and thus can get about 2/3 ps3 games, just need some advice on what I should get.. Was thinking Max Payne 3, Blackops 2 and Far Cry 3? Has anyone played any of these? Or could recommend something else.. Was considering Hitman or Assasins Creed 3

 

Unless you have a decent number of mates that play CoD a lot, I would stay away from that franchise

 

I am seriously considering Farcry 3 for after Xmas, I've only heard great things about it

 

Just played someone online on Fifa as Watford. His tag was 'DannyMartinXbox' - so if you ever play him, be sure to irritate him for some good entertainment!... So I was winning 2-1, and due to the stupidity of the other player's celebration, I decided to retain the ball for a little bit...

Fair to say he put his headset on and started shouting at me down the headset. I put mine on just to listen to what he had to say - I never actually speak to anyone anymore unless they're my mates, but have to say it entertained me greatly to hear phrases being uttered such as:

"Note his name down", "Search him", and other rubbish such as "Ah he lives 2 streets away from my mate Kieran at University", and then "I'm going to go and find him, smash his face in with a bar and post it on youtube".

After the game, he text messaged me over the xbox interface and told me to search for his youtube channel, as he does this for a hobby. Sounded like he was about 25 as well.

Society nowadays is a lovely, lovely place.

Just completed Assassins Creed 3 (Late night session to avoid doing uni work too early tomorrow), and erm, without wanting to ruin the ending for anyone who's playing/wants to, I have to say I'm disappointed in it.

Other than that, phenomenal game, with a few reoccurring bugs here and there.

 

So depressed BioShock Infinite has been delayed until the end of March now, it looks absolutely incredible.

 

Played someone on H2H seasons on Fifa with Watford. They were Charlton. I was still slightly annoyed about the result and some of their comments so after I went 2-0 up, I passed the ball around the back for 70 mins. In the end I had 91% possession. He might not even of been a cafc fan...

 

Finished the Hitman game before, old school but very enjoyable. Finally made enough coins on Ultimate team to build the two 11's I've always wanted, rotating the two I have now won 18 games in a row.

People that use Real Madrid on Seasons make me so mad.

 

Learn how to play as Watford. The vast majority of people who are supposedly 'good' hide behind the big teams. I've found by playing as Watford, I can play as them a lot better than most who occasionally delve into the lower-star leagues. Have played the best part of about 80 games with Watford now, losing around 10 - in Division 1.

Just tried it, drew 3-3 with Wolves (they equalised 90th minute - scripted)

Vydra is so slow its stupid, he got outran but Roger Johnson, hmmm

The key is to pass the ball around a lot. I rarely use the sprint button unless there's a throughball on or beating someone with a turn of pace. I reckon the January squad updates will be a little more realistic in terms of attributes of certain players once the transfer window closes. But yeah, keep working at it, and you'll eventually find you win far more than you lose playing as these standard of teams.

Pudil also has a savagely good left boot, and is quite pacey - he is capable of scoring a few from long range, particularly when the opposition clear corners to him.

I never do understand how people have the time and can justify putting effort to do things like this. I also find it massively cringe-worthy. Just an opinion.

Been using Watford on Seasons and quite enjoy it, up to Division 2 but had a poor start because of cheating canuts.

For some reason Mujangi Bia has been removed from the squad which is a bit of a loss... trying Pudil at left attacking mid because as a left back his positioning is so bad, he's too attacking

 

Good to hear you're persisting with them! I definitely have found it more enjoyable to be able to play using Watford every game!

Unfortunately with our squad being the size it is, that happens quite a lot. Anya is one who I have found regularly goes missing with various squad updates... Mujangi Bia will probably be back next time the squad files download themselves again. Pudil is the one who plays on the left side of my midfield in a slightly advanced role - pacey and a powerful left boot.

 

How is it even possible to cheat on Fifa?

 

It used to be possible on past games - a lot of people forcing the game to disconnect if things weren't going their way... inevitably always ending with me getting a defeat chalked up against my name... but I haven't really come across much yet on Fifa13. The odd peculiar disconnect when I was winning that resulted in no fixture apparently ever being played - one of which happened when someone paused it after the final whistle, freezing my game entirely to the point the xbox needed resetting.

Aside from that sort of thing, no idea!

 

No I'm done, this team is nothing without Bia... plus it is so boring playing teams you've never heard of... I've played over 25+ games and must be about 4 teams I've recognised... all these made up teams seems to have 99 pace and 99 strength for every player, the game is so scripted.

 

Haha! Fifa 'Seasons' is 'scripted'? That's an interesting take. Each to their own though I guess... just don't think I could go back to playing the same old Real Madrid/Barcelona people again - who only ever have one idea - get it to Ronaldo or Messi and let them take on the world. That's scripted.
