the luxury of both? interesting choice of words, wasn't buckley a luxury player?

just seems like we would be paying unnecessary wages if you ask me.

Stuart Parnaby has been released by Birmingham City after his contract ran out. Many Championship teams having a look at him. He plays right-back but can adapt to left back apparently.

Would we be one of the teams interested? Wouldn't surprise me but, wages may be an issue.

Roy Keane completed talks with Graham Taylor and new owner Bassini today and will be named Watford manager within the next 48 hours. Keane is willing to take a serious pay cut and wants the opportunity to work with Watfords young academy players and prove himself to be a top manager.

Watford are facing competition from Hibernian to secure a deal for Dundee midfielder Craig Forsyth. The midfielder has spoken to Graham Taylor at Vicarage Road but Colin Calderwood has come in with a last minute bid to keep him in Scotland. Forsyth is keen to move away from Dundee but wants to remain in Scotland.

Although sky think it's a done deal .....

Bournemouth to sign Andy Gosney of Eastleigh meaning one or both of Feeney or Pugh will go. Jalal on his way to Watford or Doncaster. Pearce probably to Portsmouth although maybe Ipswich or Reading. Wiggins may now be Cardiff bound.

Cardiff City will offload Peter Whittingham for a nominal fee of £1m next week as the cash strapped club fight against administration, following last seasons playoff failure.

    21 Jun 2011 02:47:34
Cardiff City's financial woes mean four or five key players will have to leave before anybody comes in.

I hinted that MM might be doing that some time ago, when Malky was first showing interest in taking the Cardiff job, I really think he will live to regret his decision

Southend strikers on the way out. Barry Corr has offers on the table from Shrewsbury Town and Ipswich. Matt Paterson has offers from Gillingham and Walsall and Blair Sturrock is on his way to Queen of the South. Watford are interested in Harry Crawford.

Gavin Mahon very well could be returning to Watford in a player/coach role. Mahon still speaks to a few of the Watford staff, including Dyche, and it is believed Dyche wants him back at the club. Dyche isn't expecting Mahon to play many games -few bench appearances here and there when numbers are light- but see's him as a great man to have around the training ground and see's potential in him as a coach and future manager.

Don Cowie should be on his way from Watford to Leeds soon. Good signing as he is the only reason Graham got so many last season. Expect a busy July for LUFC!

    Watford Rumours:

Its believed that Dyche will be given around £1 million to spend for transfers whilst the rest of the money from players who have left will pay off some debt.

    Ins:
Andy Weimann (Season Loan from Aston Villa)
    Danny Webber (Free from Portsmouth)
    Gavin Mahon (Player/Coach)
    Rhoys Wiggins (Transfer from Bournemouth)
An experienced centre half is also a target to add to the squad.

Keiran Gibbs from arsenal is a suprise target for watford, as arsenal have declared his availability of a loan move. Gibbs was seen travelling to vicarage road, and after and medical and other mishaps have been sorted, of which he has a 'recall' clause, the deal should be finalised by sunday.

    These all seem perfectly possible

I think that may be something to do with the Walcott deal too. Maybe we'll get those two, plus cash, with Loach going the other way.

Apparently Dyche is getting ready to hijack any move Barcelona make for Fabregas as well. News straight from the grapevine.

but we cant have super danny if we have super Kevin

Theres only room for one super and thats only because Supper Danny went. If we still had Super Alan then we could never have got super Dannny in the first place.

I don't think Danny is super anymoe though

Danny Webber is in talks to follow Ian Woan to Watford following his release from Portsmouth.

Provisional talks also being held with Joe Murphy (ex-S****horpe keeper) as potential replacement for Scott Loach. Dyche is keen to keep Loach but has agreed that should a bid of £2million be received, they will accept. However, they will insist upon a substantial sell on clause, and ensure a replacement is set up before allowing any deal to complete.

Should Andrew Taylor move away from Boro, a London based club is his/his partner's preference. Choice has always been between staying in Boro where he is very settled, and moving to Watford, with both clubs having offered very similar terms. When talk of Mackay's departure gathered pace he was set to stay with Boro, however this week it's all changed. Cardiff have proposed better terms than he'd previously been offered, but Watford have agreed to match this latest offer. Dyche is very keen to sign Taylor and the club believe signing Taylor would not only strengthen the team, but also make a statement of their intentions to back Dyche when a deal which they believe represents significant value is available. Bristol City made their interest known a couple of weeks ago, but don't really hold any appeal to Taylor.
