Looking at that list we'll probably end up with Troy Parrott on loan.

They also represent Jack Taylor, CM at Peterborough who I've been impressed with from the limited amount I've seen and has 1 year left on his deal.

Plus Rhys Healey, though he's still not back from his ACL injury.

out of interest what makes you think he would be the best option? have you watched many of the games he has managed?

 

Living in West Midlands now just spoken to a West Brom supporter about VI and what he was like he just laughed and walked away. Personally I give every new manager a chance and i have given so many chances away but you just never know .

 

If you’d asked us our thoughts on Roy Hodgson when he went back to Palace I’d have had the same reaction. But he’s obviously done very well so who knows. I wouldn’t dismiss him solely on the basis of his mediocre stint at WBA, where he didn’t have a fit striker for much of his tenure.

 

Totally agree with that, i will give every new manager a chance.

 

I still don't really think this is a good or long term appointment.

He done well at Barnsley and they overachieved. Fair enough. Watching some of their games during that season I found the style of play pretty predictable and think football has evolved since then to a point that teams would suss it out very quickly. It would require significant surgery on the squad and without opening the debate up again, I'm not personally convinced the money is there for that to happen - can see the bulk of our business being frees or loan signings.

His time at WBA was a disaster. I know a few Baggies having previously lived in the West Midlands and they're far from complimentary about him. Seemingly prone to falling out with key/influential players - then again how many times have we heard of that happening here?

I don't see Ismael as a 'project' manager and can see the revolving door spinning again very soon.

 

At least we make a saving, he can use the Ivic hand me downs.

 

The last time we started a Championship season appointing a manager with initials 'VI' we were promoted, keep the faith.
