£16 a month for an unlimited card at Cineworld. Worth it?

As long as you at least twice a month it is :)

As Legs said, depends how often you go! Me and the GF have got one each and go roughly twice a month, normally at least one of the trips we spend all day in there and cram as many films in as possible.

  4. Dead Snow 2. Hilarious zombie gore even better than the original Dead Snow.

The scene where the hero resurrects his dead girlfriend as a zombie just so he can shag her takes cinema to whole new depths in bad taste I never knew could exist.

    Instant cult classic.

    American Sniper - 7/10

Decent film, nothing special and apparently the guy was a bit of a pr1ck in real life. Good story though.

    Unbroken - 6.5/10

Decent film but far too long. Too much time when nothing was happening.

    Foxcatcher - 3/10

Absolutely awful, was so bored during it. Steve Carrell was good but the story line was incredibly boring, until the last 5 minutes.

    Gone Girl - 8/10

Really good film but hated the ending.

    Watched Birdman on Friday night

One weird film, think its going to be one of those love or hate films... I liked it, got some great acting in it, Keaton and Norton both excellent, as was Emma Stone

Watched Paddington with the kids. I loved it, they were bored (still too young really). Perfectly crafted Family film.

I watched Whiplash, it was good. I didn't really think it was as amazing as the critics have been saying, but enjoyable nonetheless. I think the thing that stands out, is that if you try and describe the plot it sounds like the most boring film ever, but it's actually not. The music is nice too.

Big Hero 6 (for those with kids). Very enjoyable; amusing and actually quite moving. Went to see it with a mix of 10/11 year olds and 8 year olds and they all gave it a thumbs up.
(Note: some of the scenes with the villain might be scary for very young kiddies)

    "Under the Skin"

Very weird and probably far too slow for many peoples tastes, but if you want to see Scarlett Johannson with all her kit off and everything on view then fast forward to *****

Find it yourselves you lazy buggers!

Saw Big Hero 6 when it came out (Haven't been around to say how awesome it is) IT IS AWESOME!!! Not just a kids film but if no adult could relate/**** themselves laughing to Baymax losing battery life then I feel sorry for you.

Saw Focus yesterday, whilst a good movie it just seems to be a little all over the place. Margot Robbie is great though.

Watching Serenity on film 4. Worth watching on +1 if you've not seen it before, or maybe like me if you have done. Firefly is worth a watch too.

    Good movies you've watched recently

Having scrolled through about 100 movies online and not found anything that tickled my fancy, I was wondering what peoples favourite films are and good movies that people have watched recently. I quite fancy a sci-fi drama if anyone's got any suggestions.

    Agreed.

I watched The Equaliser recently. Far better than I expected it to be. I know the theme is 'middle aged actor in bad ass role' in Hollywood at the moment but Denzel nails it.

Also watched Red Corner with Richard Gere on Netflix - excellent movie.

also watched birdman, and it was pretty good. nowhere near the best film of the oscar season (which so far would be whiplash for me)
