He didn't deny our interest, but clearly didn't want to answer the question apart to confirm Inzaghi was not at the training ground today.
No idea how reliable atm, but: http://sulia.com/channel/soccer/f/eb5153ff-7bd6-48ef-ac05-f5cfdf744dce/
"After being linked with Watford, veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi could be off to another Pozzo-owned club following reports he has been offered a deal by Granada. However, reports in Italy claim that Atalanta remain the favourites to sign the former AC Milan forward." (via @skysportsbucko)
Strange how news reports vary depending on clubs. 'Unsurprisingly, plenty of Italian players have been linked with a move to Watford following the Pozzo family's takeover and Gianfranco Zola's appointment as manager. Following on from Filippo Inzaghi and Alessandro Del Piero, the Daily Mail claims Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is an ambitious target for the Championship club.' If this were Nottingham Forest or Cardiff, it would be 'Vincenzo Iaquinta is a target for the ambitious Championship club' - good to see we're still not favoured!
Looks like Reading have pulled out of Inzaghi, if they were ever in for him in the first place. McDermott has said no more transfers, after signing Mapps and Gunter.
We are used to it being us v Cardiff competing to sign a player..or us v Ipswich or whoever But what happens if, as in that tweet about Inzaghi, it's us v Granada? Considering we have the same owners and are part of the same 'footballing family'?!
Inzaghi to tell Milan whether he will stay on as coach or look to play football elsewhere by Tuesday, following a meeting with Galliani at Milan this afternoon.
I've got to be honest, if I were Inzaghi, the proposition of dropping down to 2nd tier football abroad, for lower wages would be a turn off. No matter what the future holds for Watford, he's 39 and needs to think about the present. Better he stays in Milan, where he is settled and take what they offer him. What possible point could he prove by scoring 15 goals in the Championship for Watford after the career he's had?
I have a friend who spoke to Nani on tuesday night. When he was asked about Inzaghi, he said "no...too old", however to Del Piero he said "it's a possibility".
I would be delighted with Inzaghi. With Del Piero, I don't think there's a word to describe it. It would be like having seven ****s at once.
Maybe its the high quality of the brown home changing rooms and running out into a 3 sided stadium that turns his head...................
speravo. ma a quanto pare sembra rimanga al Milan come allenatore delle giovanili. i hoped so. but it seems that he will stay at milan as youth coach
i think that inzaghi could still score a good quantity of goals... but Del Piero is from another planet,Del Piero is one of the greatest players i've ever seen.
Italian sports journalist Tancredi Palmeri tonight tweeted to say ' Del Piero never nothing.Inzaghi not considering it' when asked if there was any more news on Inzaghi and Del Piero. If true, maybe now we can focus on getting a slightly more realistic 20 goal a season striker in!
(actually, joking apart and keeping the Man City link up), I wouldn't mind John Guidetti on loan! Even sounds Italian, though he's not.
Guidetti has done his time in the NPC, widely reported by Bladet that he's going to return to Feyenoord.
Now that would be brilliant, but I expect they will be looking at giving him premiership experience, but we can dream I suppose 8)
