DAY 1 - Werewolf 2018

Well, that's the other side of the coin isn't it? The odds are massively against us and there's no real patterns this early on.

I would say that from memory, wolves make a few comments but refrain from pointing any fingers and generally go with the flow.

So I will probably look for someone doing that. Also, if the second message is the wolf, as the consensus appears to be, than anyone posting around the time that Otter received it, would be less likely in my mind. Surely you wouldn't log on, post your first message of the day at the same time you sent the Wolf's message?

 

Not a whole lot to go on today then. I will be seeing where the votes are falling before getting off my fence. For my two pennies worth I think the first message is probably the seer, the second message is trying a little bit too hard.

 

Classic sit on the fence line. In fact your whole post screams neutrality.

Incidentally, anyone that is a wolf is surely more likely to post a generic message early. I forgot about the game because I've just got a bog standard villager role, but think I'd have remembered it if I was a wolf so would've been posting some banalities much earlier in the day to blend in.

 

When I've been the wolf, I've said enough that I've avoided suspicion. But I've avoided taking sides or saying anything controversial.

The easiest way of doing that is useless character filler. 'Hi – anyone need any plumbing' etc. Trying to message a fair amount without pointing any fingers.

The least likely people in the game to be evil are the two players mentioned as good in the messages, because they instantly have targets on their backs.

 

My gameplay is different for 2 reasons.

1, The majority of times, I've played as evil characters. In this game I'm trying to accuse players and don't care anywhere near as much about arising suspicion.

2. I've got a new job and I’m now in an open plan office, so can't sit in my office playing freely. It’s the same reason why I don’t really post in the politics section anymore. I’ll be far more active after work.

 

Just been going through things again , has anyone seen With a smile or have I missed him? I have been told we have guests coming shortly so as I dont think he has contributed thus far I will vote for him .
message 1 if you think is the seer then I am good
message 2 if you think is seer then Diamond is good
odds are both of us a good , I think its only fair to lynch a non player and give those of us that are playing an extended run by one day .
You can always come back to me and Diamond later as we have both been named as good.

 

Don't have anything to add here, there are far too many speculative posts confusing matters. Two messages, two GOOD's... free swing this evening.

I've missed Werewolf, but not Werewolf day 1. What I will say is that I'll be voting for the least active player today as there is literally nothing to go on.

Edit: Seems that I can't work out how to view who's posted how many times. On the old software it was easy, but on this one I'm stumped.

 

As someone else said earlier, active to a bare minimum is what I'm looking at. Again, Daft and SLB are my preferences as both joined in only after bring outed.

Would feel sorry if Daft and he was good, what a run of bad luck in WW, however it's not the first time his inactivity has cost him so he should know better.

Nornironorn is also included.

There are others but I have my reasons for currently excluding them which I won't go into as I don't want to out them if true.

WAS and Steve Harrow - have they even posted yet?

Is there a way to list the amount of posts made by a user rather than going through it page by page? I vaguely remember being able to do it in the past

 

Obviously people have lives to run, but it isn't cricket to check players' activity. As nornironhorn said just use the info in this thread to base your decisions on.

 

Ah fair enough, was just being lazy!

 

I just checked out a couple of people to see if it could be used against them, but I'm not sure we can see if they PM'd someone. Looks like you can turn off access to your recent activity so would suggest if you're not happy with people looking then turn it off asap.

In fairness for the game I removed the mini discussion about activity. Can we just agree on trust to not look at players' activity directly.

Indirectly in my opinion is OK, that means "Player X isn't posting much in this thread but is posting in other parts of the forum a lot" can be used because you all have reason to read other posts across the whole forum.

I'm leaving the office soon, so I'm voting now. I'm voting for Diamond with no expectation that he's evil, however, I fear that if we go into day 2 with two people named in messages as good, we risk learning nothing from tomorrow's messages either.

 

This isn't fair as half of the other players are just my other log ins.

 

That's my point. There is little chance of getting an evil player on day 1 but even less so if we just go on suspicion and hunches. At least if we eliminate named players we might learn something useful after the kill. Sorry to the unfortunates named (not sorry).

I'm probably going Daft. Didn't post all day because of their job and only posted once outed, but seemed to be liking posts throughout the day so could obviously keep upat some point.

Going to put my vote on Diamond, not because I think he's evil but because there's nothing else to go on. Inactive players get Lynched or killed anyway so it may as well go towards establishing which message is the Seer's and the Wolf's and I doubt I'll be around to vote later as I have 5-a-side later.
