I think this would be a good bit of business for Watford. I hope we are trying to sign him, if only for the reason that he's someone I've actually heard of and seen play.
Even though we played Newcastle 3 times last season and every single one of their games was either live on Sky/BT, or had highlights on Match of the Day, I'm still not prepared to form my own opinion of him and will base it purely on what a handful of stupid nerds on a Newcastle forum think, thank you very much.
Happily, someone has already checked there forum and they all think he's a waist of space. So, that's what I'll think to.
Back in for him apparently. Competing with West Ham. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Why do the media always seem to group clubs together? We're forever fishing in the same pool as West Ham if the tabloids are to be believed. I'm sure there was a Championship clubs they always paired us with when we were below stairs too.
To be honest if we are looking to bring in new players now, then they need to be homegrown ones, because for every foreign player we bring in we have to decide which one to ship out and it's starting to irritate me a tad.
Would be a great signing as a WB, slightly suspect defensively but great going forwards. Wasn't he their top scorer at one point last season?
We've bid £7M according to the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3755179/Watford-make-7m-approach-Daryl-Janmaat-Newcastle-close-DeAndre-Yedlin.html
Can I just say...this clearly makes me ITK http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?57348-Full-Backs-next-season&highlight=janmaat
Bid has been accepted...not sure how much... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...r_Newcastle_United_defender_Janmaat_accepted/
https://twitter.com/SkySports_Keith...6?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^news|twgr^tweet Seems to be coming for 7m. Newcastle fans are worryingly happy about it.
Can't believe we are spending £7.5mil on this donkey! We just bought another Nyom. Would much rather that £7.5mil go towards securing Boufal or someone else. I know some people rate him, from what I've seen of him and according to my best mate who is a Newcastle season ticket holder, is excited to get rid of him and claims Newcastle will be laughing all the way to the bank with that amount. Hopefully he will play way better for us than he did them but in the meantime I have found a new boo boy!
Would be an ideal wing back, Anya, Zuniga, Janmaat and Holebase is a cracking choice of wings backs. People are already wanting to be signed up because of Roberto. #thePereyraeffect
Don't listen to Newcastle fans as they are the biggest bunch of ****s on the planet, when it comes to running down former players. Janmaat is a very good player. He really stood out to me as their best player last season. £7.5m is about the right price I would say as well. I hope that doesn't mean Amrabat is out the door, although suspect it probably will.
What's the point? Amrabat is good there, Zuniga and Brice Dja have been signed there, Janmaat is great but just don't get the need?
