Yeah... which pretty much means this game is done barring a couple of wondergoals.

 

The club’s season is on the line tonight and we just haven’t turned up.

Only positive is that you can see how impressive and effective a high pressing long-ball side can be at this level.

Sunderland can’t even get a deflection to go their way at the moment. Every midfield ricochet falls to a Luton man, every blocked shot dribble harmlessly through to the keeper.

 

Luton seem likely to score from every corner

 

It's incredibly basic football but when you're getting the basics right, it works.

 

Edwards probably thought he had much better players with us than he did in reality, so probably thought he could play better football, poor bloke was salivating at dropping £5m on some Belgium hot shot striker.

 

This game is a great example of what’s required to succeed in the Championship. Sunderland have the technically better players but can’t hope to out-football L*t*n without their physicality. L*t*n have strength, speed, determination with a little quality from crosses. Watford take note.

 

So Pozzo is trying to recreate the Rob Edwards Luton model with VI, genius.

 

If these ***** go up and they’re allowed to play their home games in that ********, they’ll cause lots of teams problems. Premier league superstars won’t like going there.
