A taller, skinnier Andre Gray. Same horrific touch, same unpredictable (negatively) play, same lack of any ability to get involved in build up-play and the same ability to score weirdly important goals whilst looking totally gash. Guy absolutely stinks, bet he scores the winner in the second leg of a play-off semi final though.
Agree. I was scratching my head when numerous posters have claimed he is good in the air this season.
Both him and Davis are absolutely farking terrible in the air. Asprilla has won more headers than the two of them combined and he weighs about 9 stone
Perfect to bring on and park in the box when you’re throwing everything at the oppo, looking for a late goal. Dreadful at holding the ball up, bringing others into play and generally keeping hold of the ball. Really not a starter but a very useful impact sub.
Yeah great and it's nice to see a player admit they f*cked up, but he still shouldn't start on Saturday.
Doesn’t necessarily excuse his petulance and certainly doesn’t excuse what I hear was a rank performance, but I can’t help but appreciate him apologising. It is rare for a player to accept wrongdoing. The normal thing to do would be shush the crowd or cover his ears whenever he next scores.
Yep shot himself in the foot on Saturday. Not literally of course, because there is no way he has the coordination to be capable of hitting his own foot.
Good on him for apologising. Easy enough for someone at the club to put the words together but it wouldn't have gone out without him giving it the nod and getting behind it.
Suspect the club has had a fair few 'Disgusted of Loudwater Lane' spidery handwritten letters this week and so forced his hand.
Fined for unprofessional behaviour. Why not? They get fined a tonne for being 5 mins late to training.
Staggering that we had people supporting the signing of this whopper in the summer. Wasn’t anywhere near good enough for the SPL, where Joseph Hungbo was a standout performer, and the alarm bells still weren’t loud enough. Multi-million pound fraud has occurred before our eyes.
‘He’s scored a bit for Charleroi and in French L2’ they said. Ignore absolutely everything you see with your eyes and the fact he’s been total turd elsewhere and never been trusted in a league of note. Celtic preferred Leigh Griffiths.
The one that makes me chuckle is up to Xmas people were claiming he was good in the air . And then we had the goals per minute defence after a few goals off the bench. Extrapolated to 50 goals a season I am told. Clive Allen 1987 stuff. But then he stunk the place out for 180 minutes and that argument went away. It’s a transfer that strips Pozzo bare. Plenty of people can’t cope with the implications for their belief system. Although to be fair a few have turned their views.
I thought this guy would be sh1t, but he is actually better than I thought he would be. He’s not sh1t, but he’s not what we need and he’s not worth the price we paid for him. A bench player only, who can occasionally pinch a goal. He’s not as comical as Andre Gray, but he is so similar in terms of how you can describe his game. He offers little in the built up, but will run and will take up a good position in the box. Finishing is erratic though. He is an Andre Gray clone.
I guess worth bearing in mind this a fan base some of which still get indignant if you write off Kalu as a bad signing.
Goal and assist yesterday. Starts every week for Charleroi who have been on a great run since he returned. A player with several deficiencies, but I know who I'd prefer to see coming off the bench out of him and Assombalonga.
We've had two managers who rated him below Manaj in the pecking order, but yet, especially given that we'll be shorn of basically any good players and probably won't have much money to replace them with, I think I'd like him back for next season
He’s scored 2 in 8 games since his return. I think his big issue is that he offers so little apart from goals, and 1 in 4 isn’t great. That said hopefully he scores a few more before the end of the season, so that we can get some of our money back
Plus 2 assists. 1 goal contribution every 2 games. Had a goal contribution every 185 mins for us, so pretty much the same output. It's a tricky one because he's so technically limited, but things happen when he's on the pitch. If we made a side that was built to deliver balls into the box, he'd probably hit 10-15 over a season. Either that or just be an option off the bench when chasing a goal.
Bayo over the current sick note donkey who has the touch of a trampoline and is allergic to scoring goals.
It's amazing we signed him in the first place. That August window has to be one of the worst ever. And yet Edwards had to take it on the chin.
