It really wouldn’t surprise me if he’s not played yet because they took one look at him when he rocked up and realised he’s about 46. I would not put it past our owners to have signed him based on some stats and his price and without actually looking at him.
I'm sure I read something somewhere where Roy confirmed he was fit in the last couple of days. Can't find it now though so maybe I made it up.
So far it's looking like yet another case of our recruitment team signing a player we neither needed nor fits the current Head Coach's philosophy.
You're ignoring whatisname's post where he said we needed another winger. We had 4 on the bench last night (3 of whom were unused) and one on a plane back from the ACON. This was clearly an area of high priority for strengthening over midfield and defence/GK, where we have mostly over 30 year old crap.
Can’t get any minutes even with Sarr missing. Another signing made with Watford’s best interests not in mind. One benefit of relegation is that Mogi Bayat will scuttle away once Pozzo is back to not paying a single penny in transfer fees. Albeit with full pockets.
We did need a player like him, and if he was still good then he'd definitely be suited to being a winger in Roy's 442 as he was meant to be very solid and hard working defensively - he could have taken Sema and Cleverley's places in the last two games. The issue is either: he's lacking match fitness; his legs have gone like Kucka; or he's not suited to the PL. I'm guessing it's either or both of the first two. Most of what I've read about him seemed to suggest that on form he should be decent enough for the PL. Our other 3 signings have slotted in straight away, it's just a complete failure that we didn't sign a winger or forward who was able to do likewise.
Imagine how long that would take our fitness team to fix that though . They struggle with a slight knock .
If Ranieri was still here, he would have played already. I think Ranieri likes skillful and pacy players. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
According to Wikipedia he has collapsed twice in the last 3 years. Once in a game, once in training. Find this really worrying for him as a human being.
Nothing to worry about apparently, one a dizzy spell and the other dehydration. Either way I'm sure he's been fully checked by our excellent medical staff and hasn't just been signed no questions asked from Uncle Mogi.
you wait the club will be putting him on all the nutrition packs they ordered in for Danny Rose. By Easter he will be a fully signed up member of London Conley weight watchers, he will never see his toes again.
Have to say, I've always found the 'dehydration' excuse for that incident very odd - he is an African, born and raised in Africa, as well as a professional athlete, aware of all that entails and the stresses and strains that places on him, and yet somehow he managed to participate in a training session in a state of such dehydration that it caused him to collapse entirely with symptoms that reportedly mirrored a heart attack in at least some way? Can he possibly be that stupid? What were the coaching and support staff doing during this session that they allowed a player to be that dehydrated? None of it quite seems to add up, to me, with my tin foil hat firmly affixed.
Will not play until the last game of the season after we are already down. He then scores 4 and looks incredible.
You say that, but even then it’s got to be tough for a 63 year old African man running around for 90 minutes under an African sun.
Yep Pussetto won us points. Or saved us a point more accurately. At least there was something to show for it. Kalu looks like nothing more than stuffing more money into Mogi’s pockets.
Yeah but he was still a wasted transfer in a pivotal window when we had other areas of the pitch crying out for new signings!
