Players who felt they were lucky to be playing for us and playing in the championship, rather than players who feel the club is lucky to have them and they should be, and will soon be, playing at a higher level.

Putting aside characters, it's amazing how we've received all these Premier League millions and we can't seem to find a decent loanee or a decent goalscorer for love nor money

Very decent again. Looks settled into his role. Things to work on but his basics are pretty decent. Nice to see.

Have to say I think he’s really good. Not just ‘oh he’s an academy lad might as well play him’ but actually on track to be a really good player at the level. Was excellent today, goes both ways well.

'Andrews signed his first professional terms with the Hornets in May 2022, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal at Vicarage Road with the option of a further year.'

When was the voting for YPotY finalised, because he's definitely a cut above James Morris

Probably done by the club but guess he was just too late.

I mean Asprilla probably could have won too.

I guess it's good he is trying to at least have a go unlike others in more attacking positions.

Hopefully won't be put off shooting.

I guess Ismael means decision making in general.

I recalled two shots he had vs Stoke where he made very poor decisions both times - the first one he had an excellent opportunity to shoot on a plate for him at the back post, but he took a touch first which allowed the defence to close him down. The next occasion he was miles out, we had players in the box, and he had defenders in front of him - it was just daft and of course it just hit one of the defenders again.

If he's going to shoot he needs to leave it for when there's actually a chance, and when there's actually a chance he needs to get his shot away much quicker.

Tbh if we are relying on an 18 year old right back to have our best efforts on goal then there probably is an issue there .

Aye. He's excused to the odd dud game if most other weeks he's at the needed level. Notable he cut down his speculative long range efforts

Am I the only one who thinks he gets caught out of position too much. Seems over reliant on his pace to get back in position. But he's young and shows promise.

Hopefully we can get a good £5m or so from one of the bigger champ clubs in the summer.

Ngakia V QPR was nothing short of amazing. He's been sorely missed. Andrews has done well but far from the finished article which isn't surprising for his age. Hopefully he will just keep getting better.

Partly done to how bad QPR were and also that doesn't happen enough. I would much rather Andrews kept his place

Everyone was good against QPR. Ngakia's cameo on Sunday was much more like his usual level. It's like he forgets where he is and what he's meant to be doing.

Doesn't really matter - he has a pro contract and so is beyond the stage where he can be nicked for peanuts (unlike whenever the players still in the academy get called up).

Hopefully the England call up will raise the attention of the poachers and/or the Saudis.

He's already on pro terms with us - he can only be sold at our discretion; not "poached", unlike all the other academy players who tend to get nicked earlier.

Just noticed that these U20s they only have a lame training camp - no fixtures to play so he won't even get to earn a cap yet.

The U18, U19 and U21 groups all have matches over the international break.

Was chatting to my mate who's an Arsenal fan, we agreed that the best feeling in football is not necessarily the last minute winner, but sometimes the clincher to ease the nerves. Yesterday wasn't quite Arsenal-United (if that is still a big game), but a local lad breaking his duck, yes please!

On Saturday we had all three scenarios, the 2nd goal clincher to settle the nerves which happened to be the first goal scored by one of our own, which happened to be a local Watford born, which happened to be possibly first ever Son/Father goal scorer this was after an injury time match winner by our new number 9! (5 scenarios) Very Rememberable for all fans!
