The tackle that got him his yellow was one of the only moments of passion and spirit from our players in the whole game. I have no worries about his physical presence.

It's clear he can't hack it on a cold, wet and windy day in Huddersfield.

Save him for the Spring/Autumn matches down South and loan him out to Grenade for the rest of the year.

fantastic comon sense and I completely agree.....we are never going to be a TEAM while we cobble together a group of loan players through our revolving door who continually lack the basic requirements of our division.

    Welcome to board!

Out of interest, is Layun naturally a wing back or a full back?

I suspect that we will be relying more on our academy prospects for the next gem but that being said I reckon we'll get 1 or 2 British players this transfer window.

I'd like to see the likes of Ikpeazu or Mensah featuring in the first team though.

Layun could do very well but he needs to be given time.

Until he gets fed up of the weather, Joka's dictatorship and Fernando not celebrating with teammates. So today is probably his last game.

That's a hell of a loan period isn't it? Sureley we would have been better off buying him!

    Played pretty well today.

I wonder how he likes his new home stadium, a bit of a come down from the Estadio Azteca!

Looked to give carte blanche to play anywhere across the middle in the Abdi role, and was very composed, and controlled the game brilliantly.

He's learned about what sort of league the Championship is already!

From the very woeful to the almost perfect performance (team) in 7 days.

He looks awesome in the middle of the park, I'd leave him there. Especially if Paredes & Anya are back in form

I thought it was a pretty impressive performance by him today. He played a number of sublime passes along the ground into the attackers which often took the defender out of the game such was the accuracy. I thought he tired a little in the last quarter of the game but that's understandable.

Although I've only seen him play twice, he looks more suited to the middle than the wing IMO.

I like the way his passes were so 'deliberate' - can't think of a better word - compared to some of our more casual (sloppy) passing in other games this season.

After a great performance yesterday by all accounts, we need to sit him down and discuss an extension, seeing as there are fewer than 1635 days left in his current deal.
