If the Pozzos follow their usual way of doing business, I can see Vydra (who is their employee already) signing permanently for us - while Deeney is sold for around £8m, to Leicester or someone at that level.

It'll be sad passing by Deeney at the end of next season as they go down and we go up. Maybe we'll sign him back?

I'm waiting to see if my news #Vydra #Watford is interesting to Observer. In that case you'll find it there, elsewhere on my blog.

I don't like that guy, got a load wrong last summer. I'm not sure he is ''ITK'' at all, if you look through his tweets someone actually tells him about the watford/vydra link coming up in the Observer and now he has news on it? hmm.

    Not trustworthy, IMO.

If Deeney leaves and Vydra signs that would be a huge net loss.

Online on @Observer_Owl website today and on the newspaper tomorrow. #Vydra #watfordfc

He was posted the link and then decided to do his own investigations I think. Agreed, he doesn't seem to be totally reliable.

No, Lesta will get relegated and we'll be promoted. That's a fact.

Not being good enough for West Brom hasn't taught either of them any humility then....

Hmmm. I'd like to think he doesn't think that way. Notice Watford wasn't directly referenced.

All that is what the agent wants, NOT what Vydra wants. No quotes from the man himself at all.

And that's all came from Emanuele Giulianelli, who as I say really isn't the most reliable of sources. He claimed last season Vydra would be back with us and it was almost a done deal...he is a journo with a blog and the only way he gets his views is by making crap up.

The Wobby must love Chovanec; always good for a quote.

I'm reliably informed that being so, along with a superior goal difference, is worth at least a point. So I'm definitely with you on this one

He never said a word last season but it still didn't stop people abusing him. I would like to know, after the season he's had, who he thinks will sign him from the PL or Serie A. I'm not sure he does Matej any good

    Let's be honest, Chovanec isn't going to say;

'Matej has had a **** season and I see no otter option but for him to go back to that tinpot club Watford as no ****er else wants him.'

Although it'd be funny if he did.

No surprises in there...his agent would prefer Vydra to be playing in a top league. Name one football agent who wouldn't prefer their client to be in a top league?

Last year, Vydra had spent a year catching everyone's attention and his agent forced the move he wanted for his client. This year, Vydra doesn't have the same attraction after what has essentially amounted to a year of warming the bench. There is virtually no chance of a Prem club coming in for him.

Hopefully Pudil's involvement with the CR squad will highlight that you can get called up at Watford.

Can't wait to see people on here starting to blub like babies now through the medium of words! I doubt he'll be back here, but I hope I am proved wrong.

Before Vydra gets the blame it is probably his creepy agent trying to get some extra dough from the Pozzo's as compensation for playing at a lower level than previously.

Unfortunately he s not assisting him, hes replaced him leaving Chambo to be not much more than a post match spokesperson.

Hopefully next season Uncle Fester can go back to his coffin and Chambo can pick up from where he left as he s top coach

What I can't understand is why Vydra never says what he want to do. It seems he is just his Agent's puppet.

If what the Agent says is correct, I am not convinced that having a player back who doesn't want to play in the Championship or for our club is beneficial for either party.

I suspect he will end up staying at WBA providing they stump up the loan fee.

    Me too.

Pearson saw him first hand last year and so will know what hes capable of.

If I was Pearson Id be after Abdi as well. Hopefully he wont be reading this and has forgotten, from the four Watford V Leicester fixtures last year, what an incredible player he is

I'm sure Vydra's agent wants him to play in the premier league next season.

I'd like to be able to sprout wings at the drop of a hat, crap £50 notes and be happily married to Amanda Crew. Unfortunately one has to be realistic, and in Vydra's case I doubt there will be any premier league teams willing to stump up the £s that Papa Pozzo wants.

What I find funny is literally 2 days ago when the Wobby said that we were looking at him again and it would be unlikely he ended up back in the Prem, everyone was full of optimism and excitement he'd be back, giving countless reasons why it made sense etc.

Today an interview from a random guy and Vydra's agent which supposedly took place and now the end of the world is nigh and he hates our club again...his agent will always want Matej at the highest level possible, it's how he'll make his money.

Matej himself and Pozzo's haven't said anything, I do think it's likely the promoted teams will look at him but after last season I can't see Vydra or Pozzo's thinking it's the best option. Even so not signing him isn't the end of the world, we scored enough this year but it's the defensive side of things we should worry about.

Vydra helps with this as well, he gets us up the pitch and is something for opposition to worry about when they attack
