In the comments under the "Vydra Article" in the Watford Observer, there is a guy claiming he spoke to Nani at the awards dinner and he claims Nani told him we are also in for the Udinese keeper, Brkic (spelling?) and for Mark Albrighton from Villa! How true that is is anybody's guess, but I would not be unhappy if it is!!!
I'd not be surprised to see Brkic here, been linked a lot but Albrighton is linked with Everton http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo.../aston-villa-transfers-everton-lining-7074755
Vydra alongside Deeney, and ahead of 3 man midfield with Fessi (in the hole) Abdi and Tozser Stuff dreams are made of.... It sounds too good to be true therefore it probably isn't FML
Hardly sounds a foregone conclusion from Jon Marks there. It may be a possibility, and I can't see anywhere else that he could 'obviously' go to, but clearly still plenty of variables that would have to go our way
Not sure this is a good idea as he will be spending a lot of time on the bench when we sign Del Piero and Smith.
And - much as everyone loves Chamberlain- I'm beginning to wonder if a GK Coach should be on the list. I'm all but certain fitness coach(es) should be too.
I really hope the Watford Observer are spot on with this. No smoke without fire and all that. Nice to see that the Wobby confirmed that he had indeed signed a new 5 year contract at Udinese, which the majority had been saying all along. The only thing that would be stopping this move would be the player/agent. I can't see how he would have enjoyed his season this year and his value has definitely decreased because of it. Hopefully all involved see the sense in the move.
Having thought about this, I see only two possible issues preventing his return. 1. A Premier League team comes in for him. I would imagine he still thinks he can do it at that level and a sniff of interest will turn his head. No way the Pozzo's would loan him or even sell him to another Championship team. 2. He's disillusioned with the English game after this season and wants to go elsewhere in Europe. I suppose Udinese might want to try him but that decision has to be made in the next few weeks. If Sannino is staying, he needs the squad together from day one so we can try and make a good start. Vydra would be an integral part of the way we play next season and this is essential. As others said, I want the Vydra back that wants the club to succeed and get promotion. We've discussed at length how we need players that care for the club. If the post January glum Vydra comes back, then everyone involved in him being here loses.
I think we've the season he has had he'll have something to prove if he comes back. There is obviously going to be a few fans on his back if he returns and he needs to prove them wrong, just like Troy has. I think if Vydra returns we've got the player we want.
If Deeney goes I'll join you. Deeney has proved he doesn't need Vydra to be a success, it can't be said the other way round. If Vydra does come we'll need to keep hold of Deeney if we're going to have any hope of replicating last year's success.
Undone se are linked with Babacar, Zapata and ZAZA barardi, I think it's safe to say that Vydra isn't in their plans!
It is clear that he isn't in Udinese's plans, at least whilst Guidolin is there. As he has 4 years remaining on his contract with them would we see this become a permanent switch?
