Very rough translation, but I think this is suggesting we are in for him. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/euro...con-la-juve-puo-arrivare-anche-janmaat-839421
"Roberto Pereyra ( 25 ) can greet the Juventus to land in England . Premium Sport has announced that the Watford Walter Mazzarri wants the former Udinese , the closing of the deal is close on the basis of 13 million euro . But not only because the British association also works to get your hands on the outside right Daryl Janmaat ( 26 ) of Newcastle" It doesn't really say anything about him, does it, other than literally mentioning his name in terms of transfers and us. Rather odd, but we really should be in for him and it would make a great deal of sense as long as the price wasn't too unreasonable. I assume a player like Janmaat will have a release clause in event of relegation, given the fact that Andros bloody Townsend does.
Townsend has one because at the time when he joined, Newcastle were in immediate danger of relegation. He'd have been daft not to have negotiated one in.
A decent player for 30mins? Sounds like a player to combine with and bring out the best in Obbi Oulare - sign 'im up!
I was there and don't recall this. He had maybe 3 or 4 times he got in to good positions. He is also pants at defending.
Didn't realise but Pererya is ex Udinese . http://app.football-italia.net/?ref...ra-close-watford#article/footballitalia-85580
30 minute spell in the 2nd half in which he scored and nearly created a couple more Only ended with a combination of Flores bringing on Ake to double up on him with Anya and Janmaat going down with cramp
He was a constant threat, and we had to make a sub to try and double up on him. They were all over us, and he played a role in nearly every move forward. Showed some real moments of class, but is probably more suited to the wing back, rather than the full back, position.
He had a good game against us at St James Park but we didn't have to "double up" on him to stop him. Every time they attacked, it was Sissoko and Janmaat against Anya (with Jurado wandering about twenty yards further up the pitch having watched Janmaat run past him for the umpteenth time). As soon as Ake was brought on and it was 2v2, the threat disappeared.
Very good going forward - better than any right (wing) back we've got - but a worse defender than Anya or Nyom (and about the same level as Paredes).
Toon were a poor side last season but with a few very good players. I reckon Janmaat was probably the pick of the bunch. Would be a great signing IMO.
Juventus are apparently after Darmian from United so I reckon we could have a good chance of getting Janmaat (if this rumour is true of course).
The O'Rish Mirror seem to think we're after him http://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/transfer-news/tottenham-join-transfer-chase-liverpool-8386415
pretty sure Jurado has gone already says on bbc sport transfers page that he has gone to espanyol for undisclosed fee on 4th July
go onto bbc sport then football then transfers and it lists all the transfers by date that have happened, look for Jurado around 4th July. Also look on wikipedia says current club espanyol
dont fink v bbc is relible m8 n ne1 can change wiki pretty shore vat judrdo is still r plyr coz e playd at woking
fair enough even has him listed on sky sports too under done deal section for £2.1 mill so who knows but lets hope he leaves
He definitely played at Woking, because I clearly recall throwing the remains of my hot dog at him when he was nearby. Obviously, I ate all the onions first, because they're the best bit.
what about tweets from jurado himself as a source? just been on his twitter and looks like he is joining them but maybe he wanted a pre season friendly to ready himself for next season
