In talks with Midtjyland for this guy. After his goal against us last season and record for Cardiff was pretty good, wouldn’t mind it.
It's quite noticeable that we seem to be going after players with championship experience, which makes a nice change.
Interesting, some people mentioned his name a few weeks ago so maybe we are circling back round on him? I think you are the most ITK here @Goldenorn ? Do we have many irons in the fire at this point?
Appreciate the compliment but I just pass on info from a couple of friends in various positions within the club. Rumours they hear at the training ground etc. There’s definitely a lot happening, been told we expect to be busy up until September 1st. Working on bringing in the right targets as per what VI has requested after seeing current squad in pre season.
It's appreciated! Think Kaba would be a great signing and pretty much guarantees 15+ goals. You still think we're after 2/Morelos, freeing Bayo to Udinese?
Last I heard before the weekend that was the plan yes, Bayo’s 2 goals on Saturday may have impressed VI enough to keep him around though who knows to be honest!
I wonder how many people would be pleased if we sell Bayo and also pleased if we sign this guy? From my recollection I thought they were incredibly similar players. Perhaps with Kaba being marginally better in front of goal, but also marginally worse in his link up play. @reids it would be good to please have a comparison radar with the two for last season.
So Midtjyland sign Cho. Cardiff appear to have prioritised another target of ours in Kieffer Moore. All of that could mean we then sign (or end up with) Kaba. Funny how football works.
Had same thought on Cho! Tbf I think Cardiff would have signed Kaba in a heartbeat if they could have, but are under a transfer embargo so only allowed loans/frees. Apparently Kaba only allowed to leave permanently.
A lad I play five aside with is a Cardiff City fans and he speaks very highly of the player. I would be happy with this.
I’m not too bothered either way on Kaba but he managed nearly 1 in 2 in the same league last season for a team who spent most of the year battling the drop
Considering Bayo isn't exactly noted for his linkup play, I'll take Kaba over him, and I say that as someone who quite likes Bayo
I’d be happy with both. 3 of Bayo’s 4 goals for us last season came off the bench. Would have no complaints about him coming on towards the end of matches
Between us and West Brom for this fella. Looked a handful against us and has a decent scoring rate in the league, would not be too miffed with this signing.
Experience in a relegation battle will be important now that we’ve moved on from many of the relegation experts previously accumulated,
There seems to be some buzz about them picking up Maja. Would he surprised if they had the finances to get both.
Where do you read that ? I'm not expert on these charts but assumed the higher ratings in each measure are better ? Other than a couple of minor differences, I took the chart to show Bayo is better at everything other than "aerial wins" ?
