An excellent and reasonable question. I am sure Mr. Bilic will be asking them the very same question.
Bilic has just said that he was very happy but very angry as well. He wants to know why the players don't do that every week. Jones has just said that their players were sick. Excuse after excuse after excuse.
One of our best wins of all time. Derby games are usually very tight, but to win by 4 is exceptional. Really does wipe the slate clean for the bad performances that have come before. The season starts from today
Felt we might have had a pen in tbe first half too and was a tad disappointed Asprilla didn't make it 5 right at the end. That would really have been the cherry on the top.
We didn't just beat them, we embarrassed them. They barely laid a glove on us and hardly looked like scoring. We played lovely football and genuinely took the piss out of them. Glorious, glorious day
Go on, say it, you’re absolutely delighted with today. It’s ok to feel that way for a day or so, the ire can wait.
Bachman - flawed as ever but no major fluffs. Hope he laughed at the gaff by the scum keeper. Cathcart - decent performance. One hard hit by the Elton John stand showed what's been missing from a lot of our play this season WTE - far from perfect but scored a goal that will mean a lot to him. Delighted for him for that. Gosling - a decent enough makeshift at right back. Kamara - some good stuff up the left with Sarr. Decent enough at the back Choudary - absolutely dominant. Stamped out many Luton attacks before they could get going. Kayembe - his best performance of the season. Missed the chance to put us 2 up when he had to take 13 minutes to switch to his only foot after JP put it perfectly onto his right. Sarr - amazing first half - anonymous 2nd (except goal) Jp - too good. Was like an eager dad showing off in a kick about with a bunch of 7 year olds. Just different class. Sema - tireless and took some punishment. Delighted he came straight back on after the horror Red card tackle. Davis - my motm. Best no 9 performance since peak deeney.
Well someone lit a flare under the player's arses. Back to normal next weekend or have they learned something?
I said to my brother, that's the best home game, possibly ever. He mentioned the Liverpool win, but as great as that was, it was ultimately meaningless. Like a big cup upset where you go out the next round. Whatever happens this season, next season, with the ownership, with debt etc. In 20 years time, I can still meet a scummer and regale him with the 4-0 win of 2022. That's in the bank.
I don’t want the high to end! Playing songs like sweet Caroline, reading every word on here, popping onto the Lootown forum to read sentences such as “they were a different class to us” “their players are just much better than ours” even one saying how quiet their fans were all game. Oh it’s all so glorious. My wife cannot understand how ridiculously happy I am right now over one game of football.
Wte is an anomaly in our squad. Most have the talent but lack the heart. He's the reverse, sadly. So pleased for him today though. That goal had put him up there with the likes of Dai Thomas and Peter Kennedy in Watford folklore.
He didn't say anything about that before the game did he? It's most likely b0ll0cks to try and take the heat away from a shocking performance.
I think they got a well deserved Bilic B**** after the Millwall performance and whatever he said post game really stuck with them. Whether or not we can turn up at Wigan and win is another thing, but I do not expect another Millwall performance for the rest of the season after today.
Come on everyone - even if just for one day, no little swipes at each other, everyone deals with bad times in different ways, but all said and done we all support Watford and we’ve just utterly smashed Lootown 4-0!!
Yes its 25 years since the previous 4-0 win (at their place) these types of results don't come along often! we must all saviour it now!
Indeed, a fantastic performance that I couldn’t have even imagined. Thanks to the early goal, I forgot about all the stuff I don’t like and focused exclusively on cheering us on and stuffing these animals. Loved every minute. They froze completely and the early goal completely ruined them. I’m almost disappointed it wasn’t 5 or 6. Certainly the best atmosphere at the stadium since the fabled Huddersfield game, for sure, this is the first time I’ve lost my voice since then. As for the filthy ratboy and his little gang, they were exposed as the animals they are. An embarrassing performance made even sweeter by the hilarious straight red and their laughable fans applauding off their losers after getting ****ed 4-0. It was truly beautiful it wasn’t us for a change.
I didn't go today as I have a bad throat and didn't want to spread it, the match started and my wife shouted up to me after 4 minutes that Bargain Hunt was on and did I want to join her in watching it! some wife's just don't understand!
In some ways it feels even sweeter that we were struggling prior to playing them as they would have actually got their hopes up and had expectation on them to get something out of the game only to be well and truly put back in their box.
Agreed! Bizarre in my head we were the underdogs and I think they probably felt they would come and bully us for the win much like Millwall. And then they found themselves up against a team ‘up for it’ with way too much class for them. Glorious.
