The response on social media is interesting

apparently an African woman ( we seem to have upset a lot of Africans) called Mummy G.O. has cursed us to 600 years in relegation ( whatever that means)
I doubt the human race would be playing football in 200 years (we will either be destroyed as a species or living inside a simulation) so more fool them.

Interesting view on day one of training. Ray and Roy very hands on. I like the fact he's telling the keepers to makes some saves and telling the defenders the basics of defending. Quality. These guys need telling.

I think we would be in a better position than we are right now had Ivic been kept on.

I know he was pretty boring but he was effective and had our defence in pretty good shape, and I expect he would have moved on to improve the rest of the team had he been given the chance.

I also think he would have had us playing less boring football as he developed the team.

Great to see Lewington back. Played a monumental role in our recent history.

He really does look old, but at the same time I absolutely love basically every word that came out of his mouth in that clip. I think he is the first coach, including Ranieri, who we have really actually seen coach in these videos, and you get the feeling that our troupe of weak-willed malcontents really do need that kind of constant, cajoling direction on the training ground for them to learn.

I am deeply suspicious that the damage has already been done, and change won't be able to come quick enough (if it does, of course) to make up for it. This does, however, at least make me hopeful that we will see some degree of improvement in an organisational sense.

Lewington bellowing like a fan at the end there is a classic touch, too.

From that video you do get the impression that they know exactly what they're doing, Hodgson has probably quite literally forgotten more than some of our players know about the game. I just don't think we have the players to do it though. You can't coach brainfarts out of defenders in half a season, if ever.

What league would we be In if we were relegated 600 times?

    I like a coach/manager who coaches and isn't a "floorwalker".
Both of them very hands on,lots of encouragement and specific feedback, not just white noise.
    Good to see.

    Few obvservations from the video:

    1) Numerous occasions of praise for Cleverley. You know they’ll love him.

    2) Sarcastically reminding the keeper he can make a save. Assume that’s Bachmann. Superb.

    3) Generally looking on with contempt at our shyte players. Excellent stuff.

    4) Kucka out there in his shorts and t-shirt, while the rest are snooded up.

We’re still going down, probably with a mere whimper, and this might be the job that finishes the old boy off, but I’ll sleep better knowing if nothing else, Woy and Ray will be perfectly content telling our squad of wasters exactly how shyte they are.

I said a few months ago that I was sad to see Pearson go as he was the manager I felt the most affinity with since Lewington. It's a shame he's unlikely to be here after the end of this season as Hodgson is likely a short-term thing and Ray isn't good enough to be the main manager.

Well according to the Athletic article, some mystery Crystal Palace sources gave us the insight that Roy likes to spend time coaching the defence, sometimes going through things with them more then once, which is novel.

Lets hope an old dog can teach some other old dogs some new tricks.

It was an uplifting video. Good to see a manager in among the players cajoling and coaching. Clearly knows what he’s doing. I’m used to years of Watford managers just looking on from the sideline looking uninterested.

It honestly feels like we haven't had anyone that has been able to coach the defence properly since Quique chapter 1. It all went to **** in the end but that guy got us so organised over the summer. Roy has a lot less time and worse players to do it with, good luck to him.

You get the impression he still really enjoys his job, which is very encouraging. I really hope the players' buy into his ideas going forward, work hard and try to stay injury free. This is our last shot at survival, and even if we do fail - I want to see a lot of fight and no hung heads and sulking when we go 1-0 down.

    He's either:

    1. Holding the Camera
    2. Not at the ground
    3. He is there, but the camera cannot focus that far back to fit him all in :D

Given he had to deal with a back 4 of Kiko, Crapcart, Marippa and Holebas, I thought Gracia did a pretty good job until the last few weeks / months of his tenure.

Tough to see any 1-0 wins with this defence.
    A few 6-5 wins maybe.

Muted this muppet ages ago, the guy is an absolute bell piece. Not sure what he's got against us to dig us out every time for a laugh. It's interesting how high and mighty the man is, yet I haven't seen too much of him calling out the new morally questionable owners of Newcastle. I wonder why?

I mean sacking a few managers is far worse than being owned by such shady people isn't it?
