    This Gary Cotterill fella on SSN doesn’t seem to have anywhere near the connections that Leventhal has. He hasn’t mentioned Wague all day until it was confirmed. So could be anyone leaving and not sure he’d know. I’m also hoping that means Gaitan has slipped in the door and this Cotterill guy has mistaken him for catering...

    No idea what the state of Udinese's squad is, but any chance we might shove Djedje and A.N.Other their way to get a couple off the books? I'm going to guess that Mariappa will stay to pick up a pay cheque and play the odd u23 game but won't be named in the squad.

    Concludes our business then since the Dragovic rumour somehow mixed up Watford with Leicester. I don't really get the Wague one, since he's behind Angella in Udinese's plans and we sold him for not being good enough. Zeegelaar, we know, was a panic buy after Gibbs thought he was above us. Ultimately, we won't see more than a handful of games from either but we needed emergency cover. Karnezis is at least a quality goalkeeper who I can see pushing Gomes all the way.

    Meanwhile Mahrez, Van Dijk, Sanchez and Coutinho all fail to get their way. PSG cheat FFP. Pudil gets booked.

    In isolation we've had a great window, but what has taken the shine off is that we did all our good business early, and a few of the clubs in and around us have pulled off some last minute blockbusters that nobody saw coming a couple of weeks back.

    If we have a season like our first with little to no injuries then what we've signed is still more than good enough to get us top 10, if we have anything close to last season then we're going to struggle with some of the slaughterhouse floor sweepings we've packed the squad with today.

    Surely Chalobah at £5m cannot be beaten for pound for pound deal of the transfer window.

    In a period of time where Arsenal demand £27m for Calum Chambers, we have to be proud of that amazing piece of business by the club.

    If we have some surplus players, we might ship some off to Udinese. The Italian window closes at 12am and medicals would not be as crucial, given that we effectively have the same owners. Spanish window closes a day later. We seem to be building up to a potential last minute panic bargain basement sale.
