Sky Sports News reporting we've signed Sinclair and he will join when his Liverpool contract expires.
Sounds like Zielinski to Liverpool is being confirmed today too "Liverpool are set to complete the £10m signing of Udinese's 21-year-old Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski according to Italian website Messaggero Veneto, via Sport Witness. Zielinski, who has spent the last two years on loan at Empoli, was apparently pictured in a Liverpool shirt on Polish television earlier this month." Wonder if the deals are linked. Exited to see what Jerome Sinclair will bring us, hopefully he can really develop and push for a starting spot stating the obvious there!
He is about 7th choice up front for Liverpool.. They've even played midfielders in front of him (Firmino and that Lalla bloke) but that was after he apparently demanded silly wages for a new contract... We ve only got 2 strikers. No one is going to start ahead of Deeney and Ighalo... So sitting on our bench all season, playing all the cup games and acting as cover, whilst ticking the home grown quota AND gaining experience to hopefully grow and take over/push one of them out (whilst growing his value)..... I think it's a very intelligent signing !! For him and us... We re not going to blow £10m on a striker to compete with Deeney and Iggy... (Unless one of them leaves, then I would expect a serious offer for Berahino or the like to go in) If they both stay... I can see us sticking with those 3 and bringing in someone if needed in January. I am a bit miffed as to why we're letting Liverpool have Zelinski without giving him a go here first tho... But it ll all be wrapped in the same deal... We have to pay Liverpool compensation for Sinclar due to his age :/
With Success and Panda coming in and Vyds coming back, Sinclair could be quite far down the pecking list here next season too.
Why not? during Man U's most succsesful season they had Cole, Yorke, Sherringham and Solkjaer in the squad, we need more that 2 proven strikers, 3 would be good, 4 would be terrific.
Players are human beings as well you know, not just commodities for the Pozzos to move around as they see fit. I imagine Zelinski preferred the idea of signing for Klopp and Liverpool and possibly playing in the Champions League next season rather than signing for us.
We re not Man Utd getting 65k attendances or the 2nd richest club in the world. I'd love to see a Berahino or a McCormack, Rhodes or even a Benteke but they aren't coming here to sit on the bench !!
Or in reality signing for Liverpool who have had their worst season in the last 24 years and .... Not being in the champions league... But yes it should be down to the players wishes
Confirmed via the Daily Mail. Also on instagram. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...old-pens-four-year-deal-Hornets.html#comments
I'm excited by this one, young with a point to prove. Just the signing we've been waiting for in young and cheap and hopefully makes his way in to the first team! Looking forward to following his journey, from a similar area to Troy so hopefully he can be a good example to follow too. I would imagine the Pozzos being the Pozzos will have sorted the fee already perhaps even involving the Zelinski(sp) deal to them. They have a good knack at timing announcements I think, new manager and new young British prospect, very exciting times to be a Hornet!
Not expecting too much initially from this signing, but it's good to get a young English player, with some ability, at the club.
We need good younger players to push the First Team and try to make their mark. He certainly has something to prove.
Seen a few Liverpool fans on social media that are glad to see the back of him, citing a poor attitude.
Easy thing to say though isn't, he may have felt his chance was never coming and got frustrated. Saw a few saying he got too big for his boots and thinks he's better than he is already but then I'd say signing for us shows he's obviously willing to move to a team where he sees more chances coming for him.
This young lad has plenty of potential and I really hope this will work out to be a good move for him. I hope he gets an opportunity with us, because he can certainly be a very good player. I was impressed by him when I saw him at Exeter in the cup.
Who is to say they would sit on the bench, they should be ambitious enough to compete for a starting place and provide active competition for the others. Dwight Gayle is another name I'd throw into the ring.
