Sounds fair enough, Granada need the help. Still think we will be left short if we dont get an attacker in

We didn't anticipate buying Doucoure on deadline day though, did we?

Flores doesn't trust Guedioura, but he isn't going to start limiting his own options by getting rid of players and not replacing them.

Why wait till the summer? were near enough safe, we should be intergrating him in to the side slowly, not loan him out. Bloody strange move.

Why are we loaning out our all time record signing?

    That'll turn a few heads

However, within our circle it's great for Granada, hopefully he helps them retain their status in la Liga.

Not at all. If we are not sure he is quite ready for first team football - and would play ahead of Capoue, Behrami, Suarez and Watson - then send him out, keep him developing and have a full pre-season with him. Better to do that, than see him poached from under our noses by a bigger club (if he is as good as people are saying!).

Crazy to think that our record signing is immediately loaned out!

Agreed. Strange & annoying in equal measures. It's what the club & QSF want though so who am I to argue

I think he's being bought more for the future and because he's he's going to get snapped up by a big club soon, rather than to immediately improve the first team.

He isn't going to displace Capoue or Suarez this season, so given that we also have Watson and Behrami it probably makes sense to ensure he gets game time while helping out one of our sister clubs.

I'd be willing to bet one of Behrami or Watson moves on in the summer, along with Guedioura.

Is it partly because we have too many overseas players in the squad?

Get him in now ready for next season but get the guy game time elsewhere.

WD Sport are reporting that QSF has his midfield strategy set for the season and wants to give Behrami and Gueds an opportunity they waited patiently for.

We're a family so we are in a position to help out and although I'd like to see him play, I don't have a problem with him helping Granada maintain their top flight status.

Is the general consensus that's it as fast as in-coming goes? What about shipping out some of the stiffs?

Bit disappointed in the club over this to be honest.

Really feel that they should have put out a tweet thanking him for his long and loyal service to us and wished him well on his loan.

According to most, he has the physical attributes for the league but needs to work on his technique.

Sending him to a technical league where he will need to work on his concentration and passing is a stroke of genius really.

If he keeps Grenada up, it will be the cherry on the cake (no muff jokes!)

Fantastic for Granada, if they were to go down I can imagine that there may be a bit of resentment towards us so im pleased he is making the move, perhaps Berghuis would be more suited to Spanish football as well due to being more technical than physical so I propose that Issac Success fella to us on loan in exchange for them two :)

Being able to pass in the doldrums of La Liga isn't going to help him here.

The best way to prepare for the Premier League, is to play in the Premier League.

Apparently it may be £8m after add ons.... Could be a fantastic piece of business.

Interesting, Adam Levanthal just confirmed the fee is undisclosed, apparently bonuses and targets could take it up to £8m.

Sitting on the bench here would only give him splinters in the bum. Playing for Granada didn't do Ighalo any harm.

I would have thought he is a significant upgrade on what we already have. I'm not sure why he would have been sitting on the bench.

Your not getting the family economics! One we had Anya and igloo for nowt to help us along with the Udinese legions, Granada are close to wrong end of table and like us and the prem will get a new improved deal if they stay up next season ,nothing compared to prem but still useful . also in spain its easier getting work permits for african and american players than in Italy and UK we need them to stay up and be an effective conduit to these markets!

We already have a fair midfield especially I believe Mario taking Doucoures position . When you dig a little deeper into this it makes a lot of sense.

It's amazing that the record transfer of WFC goes immediately out on loan. Yet, as written above, it makes perfectly sense.
He'd risk staying a lot on the bench at Watford. The loan is good for him (in order to play a lot before next season at WFC) and is very good for Granada (which badly needs some decent midfielders playing behind Success and Penaranda).

Apologies if I'm repeating anyone else's line but I've not had time to read the forums for a couple of hours.

Anyway, I believe the club weren't initially looking to buy Doucoure in this window but other clubs (Liverpool have been mentioned) were sniffing around.

WFC and Flores like this guy a lot and were going to buy him in the summer but have had to act now, especially with the way the season has gone so far.

I think the message of not wanting to integrate another new player into the squad (and country!) rings true and also gives those not getting regular games (Guediora, possibly Abdi) a chance to prove they're worth a place in the squad next season.

So basically, if he ever costs us 8m, it's because he's worth a lot more than 8m?

    Smashing.
