I swear Blackburn signed someone outside the transfer window last season? His contract was terminated or something?
See what UEA said. I think you might mean Josep Vogel or something? He was released in the August transfer wondow I think and so was able to be signed outside the window on a free in the Feb or something. A player could go a number of windows available and then be signed up in the future say 15 months time, ie retired players who come back. If Powpey were to go **** up today and their players released, they could sign for someone else now but would not be able to play until the next window. If they were liquidated in Jan during the window, the players could have moved straight away and joined someone. I think that is right anyway!
–WHUFC BREAKING NEWS– No matter how comfortable we survive in the Premier League, Gianfranco Zola will in fact be sacked. The suprise choice for Gold and Sullivan is Alex McLeish, with Mark Hughes (unlikely) and Roy Hodgson (50/50) also on their list, but McLeish is their main target. When the season finishes Gold and Sullivan will turn their 50% stake in West Ham into a 51% and don't be suprised to see more rich hammers fans buying the rest of the stake. Gold and Sullivan will give McLeish £30m to spend in the summer but I would still expect to see some players go to pay of the debt and by the end of the year expect to hear that we will be moving to the Olympic Stadium! INS– Joe Hart (FREE 4 Upson deal), Alan Hutton (4m), Roger Johnson (6m), David Wheater (4.5m), Paul Konchesky (2.5m), Tranquillo Barnetta (5m) Charles N'Zogbia (5.7m + Dyer) Hugo Rodallega (6m), Roman Pavlyuchenko (12m). OUTS– Robert Green – Arsenal (8m), Matthew Upson – Manchester City (15m + Joe Hart), Danny Gabbidon – Wolverhampton – (2m), Calum Davenport – Nottingham Forest (2m), Manuel Da Costa – Napoli – (3.5m), Kieron Dyer – Wigan – (FREE), Luis Boa Morte – Watford – FREE, Ilan – Toulouse – FREE, Gullie Franco – Corinthians – FREE, Mido – Middlesbrough (FREE – Loan deal ends).
The only reason that Davenport has been linked with us is because someone has looked at his stats and seen he was on loan for us for that one game and thought that they would link us with him.
Luis Boa Morte is 33 and out of contract in the summer, had a serous injury at the start of the season though has he played recently? I would have thought wages would be prohibitive.
Watford rumours: No new players in on loan, club will most likely finish 14th–18th in the league. Summer is crunch time – will need a full takeover as Lord Ashcroft will only donate money (he won't be chairman as it will mean him giving up his non–dom tax exile status – besides he's only allowed 60 days in the UK out of 365). Hopefully an investment/takeover will put Watford back on the straight and narrow – rumour of a new stadium to be built near Kings Langley M1/M25 interchange, but not for 10+ years.
Hunton Bridge Stadium, classy. Also I wasn't aware footie-rumours had a crystal ball for league finishes.
After the success of Seamus Coleman signing for Everton from Sligo Rovers. Watford Manager Malky Mackay will follow the route of his fellow Scotsman with the signing of Irish Striker Micheal Mcloughlin from Sligo Rovers, the young irish striker turns 15 today and has shown huge promise.
Watford will sack Manager MM if he Watford lose their next 2 games. Keith Burkinshaw will take over as caretaker Manager until the end of the season. Andy Hessenthaler who is currently manager of Dover Athletic has today been asked to help out Watford manager Malky Mackay for tactics for the next 3 games. If Watford lose on Saturday then I can 99% sure say from my sources at the club that Malky will be sacked and a number of people could be in charge on a deal which would finish at the end of the season. Mick Harford and Luther Blissett are currently top of the list. Heard this all today from a mate who's uncle is someone called Julian Winter who works at the club. News from Cardiff City: DJ will walk in the summer – Watford said to be 'very interested' in acquiring his services.
Malky Mackay days are numbered no matter what the outcome for the next few games. G.T has been making calls and Kenny Jackett is top on his list.Taylor is also keen to bring in Blissett to as his no. 2 if he agrees
Probably again all fantasy. Confused as to who DJ is? Please don't talk shyte. :yawn1: He most probably is! :sign15:
Cardiff will be wound up at the end of the season if this Malaysian Clark Kent fails to regurgitate the cash he promised. Same for Southend. Could be us next season......... And here are the results for the Conference South: Watford St.Marys 0-1 Dorchester Town
Malky Mackay had a quick interview with Graham Taylor (Watford chairman and former manager) to discuss if Malky was the long term option for the club. Can't confirm 100% but strong rumours from my source who cannot be named have told me that Alan Curbishley is set to have a interview with Graham Taylor on Monday afternoon. If Watford lose at home on Tuesday then I can 99.99% confirm that he WILL be sacked and Wednesday morning Alan will be confirmed as manager. (Bobby Downes has also heard this as he has stated in the "The new manager is" thread) This info has come from sources who I have at Watford plus 2 reserve players at Watford who I cannot name for obvious reasons. Jay DeMerit is also set to join L.A Galaxy just before the World Cup so that he can push for a place in the USA squad.
Alan Curbishley will be named as Watford's new manager in the next few weeks. GT has had talks with him and arrangements are on the way. Malky wants to stay and GT has promised him that he will still be around. If Curbishley agrees, Malky will be his no.2 just like how he has always been. Malky admits he is having a hard time motivating his players and fears that after losing to Peterbrough, all looks pretty glum in the dressing room.
Because Alan Curbishley is going to come and rescue a sinking ship with about 7 games to go. Somehow, me thinks this isn't true.
Curbishley will be on board the SMS Hull........a veritable ocean liner compared to the skiff that is SMS Watford holed below the waterline and in desperate need of a paintjob. :sign15:
Interesting to know that Alan Curbishly was immediately ruled out by Hull chairman Adam Pearson? when asked about potential candidates.
That makes perfect sense i mean he is already at least the nubmer 3 cb on the team and the best way to move up a head of players playing in france and italy is to move to the MLS.
Eddie Howe to be next Bristol City manager. Wasn't at Saints reserves lastnight. Also, Ray Wilkins to become manager of Watford before getting the boot at Chelsea. Ruud Gullit to be coach at The Bridge :dismay:
