Looks like Pozzo has said that Zola is manager live on Sky Italia. Nani also writes for Tuttomercatoweb so it's a reliable source (his articles give an insight to the sort of player that he is interested in now as well, interesting reads)

Gianfranco Zola will be the next coach Watford.

Word of Giampaolo Pozzo, new owner of British society, ready for a new project to be carried out after the Udinese and Granada. The announcement gave it right Well to Sky Sport 24: "Can I say that Zola is the man for the bench of Watford. Before taking Gianfranco, we had to close the details to avoid legal problems. It 's served a little' time. With Zola we agreed on the word, my son would be back in London tomorrow. However, there should be no problem and he should be our coach. " Well skates over the lease term, but not on the quality of Zola: "Two years? I can not say. We have always been convinced of Zola, I know for some time, had already come to Udine in the days of Naples as a player. It 'a serious and capable technician, with opportunities and resources can do well.

The last English manager the Pozzos dealt with was Roy Hodgson, and he left in double-quick time too. #goodomenforsean?

(Twitter really is messing up English grammar)

Giampaolo Pozzo says Gianfranco Zola should be the clubs manager

New Watford owner Giampaolo Pozzo says Gianfranco Zola 'should' be the club's new manager

One of the new Watford owners - Giampaolo Pozzo - has confirmed to Italian media that Gianfranco Zola is set to become the club's new manager.

Two weeks ago the Watford Observer reported the Pozzos had considered replacing Sean Dyche with Zola and last week we confirmed the Hornets' new owners would indeed make that change.

There has yet to be a statement from Watford or the new owners with regards to their future plans for the club but father Giampaolo has spoken to Sky Sports 24.

He is quoted as saying the Pozzos and Zola have agreed a deal in principle and that there "should be no problem and he should be our coach".

Giampaolo Pozzo said: "We have always been convinced of Zola. I have known him for some time. He had already come to Udine when he was a player with Napoli. He is a serious and capable technician. With (the right) opportunities and resources he can do well."

Giampaolo's son Gino will be at Vicarage Road later today, where we expect him to address staff for the first time.

Dyche was appointed Watford's manager last summer and guided the club to 11th - their highest league position for four years - despite having one of the Championship's lowest budgets.

If this is the case, Am I the only one who thinks it's highly unprofessional the way it's being handled?

Serious question: What do you know about the way it's been handled?

To be honest I've not been impressed by the communication from the new owners to date, but I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.

Depends on the order things are being done. Potentially Dyche agreed a severance package over the weekend and is already somewhere hot and sunny spending the proceeds.

I know as much as the majority on here - Little.

Like you, I haven't been impressed with the communication (though maybe unfair as it's only just happened, and in fairness they've been dealing Baz) but to openly talk about new managers while we still have one doing his day to day business really isn't fair. With the details spilling out over the past few weeks, I haven't seen anything along the lines of "Dyche has been told he's going". If he has known and a dignified silence has been kept by all involved - then fair play, but I find it a little hard to believe with the rest of the stuff coming out.

For the record - I'm not anti Pozzo's - I'm all for them and I think it's great they've taken over.

Well they haven't dismissed Dyche yet have they? If they had, there would be a statement on the club website. From this then, we can assume that Dyche is still contracted to the club, so for Pozzo to say that they want Zola on live TV, yes, I'd say it is a little unprofessional.

And so once again begins the inevitable cycle of Lloyd doyley being dropped by a new manager only to force his way back into the team by the end of the season . . .

you will need sometime before starting understanding Pozzo.

Comunication will always be insufficient. They like to play behind the sceens and say as less as possible (at least Gino). GPP (the senjor) well is all but a comunicator...
In any case you have to learn to read between the lines. GPP said that they always liked Zola and they needed somtime before appointing the new coach. This means they needed to sort out some other matters in Pozzese (Pozzo's language)

What our Udinese brethren have told us it that they are also pretty much in the dark when it comes to decisions made regarding transfers, appointments and the like. So we should not expect anything different.
