Would personally be gutted and disgusted at that, want to keep our identity, really excited about keeping him at the helm with some cash next season, and I think he's developing into a special manager. If he goes I'll need a hell of a lot of convincing :(

I'd have sympathy for Dyche if he was to be replaced. However, if/when the Pozzo family take over, it's entirely up to them who they want and don't want in charge. I think it'd be fair to give Dyche 10-15 games next season and review the situation then if needs be.

Dyche deserves a chance, Zola is overrated as a manager anyway.

If the Pozzos want Zola as manager id rather they just do it from the start

If they give Dyche a chance they will probably keep him on a very short leash and look to replace him as soon as possible anyway

May as well just get on with it

With the platform he's built already with funds on top I was looking forward to a great season, if they have ANY sense, they'll give him a chance, the fans all want him to stay. If they've been coming for a while now how can they not see the job he's done?

Zola will be part of the set up, and there is a lot to sort out here, but Dyche is part of the plans from what I'm hearing.

Is there any real point in keeping him just to appease the fans though?

Id love him to stay but if the owners want Zola then they may as well just make the change asap and get on with it

IIRC he signed a decent length contract last season didn't he? At least he'll get a decent payout if sacked.

A year rolling contract so, no.

Yes Ron but I think given the chance he'll do a fantastic job, if he has a go and struggles then so be it but to get rid after having a first season like that is tragic. HB1 OO did say e could stay but still a massive kick in the teeth, would he want to? Unless him and Zola shared responsibilities i wouldn't be happy with that either tbh.

If Dyche gets sacked I'm going to commit self emolation on the pitch during our first pre-season friendly. I'd urge others to do the same until Dyche is democratically elected president of a free Tibet.

I think if we could get Dyche coaching the attackers and Zola coaching the defenders we could be a real force

Zola hardly set the world alight at West Ham, did he? Change for change sake is a mistake.

Do what's best for the club for goodness sake, not just because it fits into some blueprint you have

Presumably their full name for that blueprint is "the blueprint which is best for the club for goodness sake" or the Italian equivalent. Whilst they may be wrong, I'm sure that whatever they do, they do so beleiving it to be for the best in the long term.

So be it. If the people that own a Champions League club think its the for the best, then it just might be.

Still hope he stays, though will not cry if he doesn't.

It's funny because I put dramatically not dramatically and therefore i was also being dramatically incorrect, therefore it is funny.

Perhaps it's for the best? I think next season could actually be very poor on the pitch as wholesale changes are taking place around the club, possibly even as bad a a relegation fight. Long term the future is very very bright now, but next season's manager could well be the fall guy if we have a bad season.

I'd rather that happened to Zola than Dyche.

Will they want to stick around if we find ourselves in a relegation battle and it would worry me if we got in a load of overseas players who aren't used to this league.

    It didn't work for Vialli.

Still no deal so future is not looking bright.

Could not disagree more if I tried. The same side as last year, same manager + funds = relegation battle? wow.

This. They will be waiting for any excuse to then get rid of Dyche.

Yes and he was 35 or so I think.

But then he was an AC Milan legend and played for a top national side..whereas Vega/Issa and Blondeau hadn't

Galli would get in my all-time Watford XI. He was amazing. Pierre Issa would get into my all-time laughable Watford XI on the basis of the stretcher incident, let alone his defensive displays!

If the Pozzo deal survives I really hope they will give SD a chance to prove himself, if they don't I am sure they will say to Sean what certain compatriots of theirs would say....
