  1. Listen to Deeney on BBC 5 live last night. Apparently not.

He would say that. I suspect the honest pro's such as Deeney, Cleverley and Gomes are focussed but everyone else is ordering their new flip flops.

All I know is we owe them for kicking our arses at Anfield. They were in their height of their season back then and we just got in the way with a very depleted team. Anything but a Hull performance is a good thing. Can we really make it four home games in a row and four clean sheets? Can I bet my right breast on it. lol Xx

“No, I want Liverpool to win,” John Barnes told the ECHO. “I live in Liverpool, I’ve been here for 30 years and they are my team. Watford are my second club but if I had to choose between the two of them I’d choose Liverpool."

    Yes, we know you would.

    You podgy penniless traitor.

What the hell is wrong with people questioning my gender? I'm not going to stay here if people are going to be disrespectful to others. I'm a woman on a sport forum so what? I'm here to support Watford just like the rest of you who are being rude. Maybe these few people on here need to understand common decency and treat everyone the same. Sorry but that really hurt

I will be surprised if we get anything from this game. Having said that both ourselves and Liverpool performing at wildly different levels week by week so who knows?

Just don't let Coutinho get on his right foot to shoot outside the box.

Don't worry, I am sure he has been questioning his own gender at times, and is a bit of a *** himself. ;D

    Take it as a compliment.

You keep posting on here Watfordfemale.
And don't be put off by below the belt comments.

Most posters get the odd derogatory comment.

I've had a couple of run ins with posters on this site and I regard myself as one of the most level headed, reasonable, empathetic, well reasoned, logical and sensible posters on here - and that's not even mentioning my modesty - who doesn't want to pick a fight with anyone - despite what the missus says. ;)

Some people are afraid to get in touch with their feminine side and think attack is the best form of defence.

Just hit the ignore button for any personal attacks, and keep posting.

We are all Watford fans, that's all that matters, and personally I enjoy all views as it shows how we can all watch the same event and yet view it quite differently and passionately argue contrasting viewpoints. All conclusions are right of course, but some are righter than others, and the posters who think they are righter sometimes launch blistering personal attacks on those who think they are not right. :dismay:

All part of the pleasure of being on an open forum.:]]

So I hope I'm speaking for the silent majority WF, and you keep posting.

    Yeah....

It's comments like that which kills forums like this because it makes people feel unwelcome. You have just marginalised a whole gender from coming onto this forum to share their views of the club because you feel that the thing dangling between your legs gives you the right to comment on a Watford forum which is meant for Watford fans, not just men. If that's what you want, (a room full of men) feel free to visit one of the gay bars in Luton town... :dismay:

I got it Hull completely wrong last week.

    EITHER
we were in the beach already with 40 points and safety and a miserable 1-0 loss,
    OR
Walter let loose the shackles and we played adventurous attacking football and completely surprised Hull with a 3-1 win.

I came off the fence and went for the adventurous attacking option.

What a stupid ar#e I was, completely forgetting that Walter is Italian.

So for Liverpool, either we are so double peed off with our inept embarrassing Hull defeat and our 1-6 Anfield surrender, so we give them a game and win 2-1
    OR
We really don't care for our coach and "where's the suntan and flip flops" 0-2 couldn't give a s#it loss.

So last week I was the optimist, but this is Watford so this week I'm going to use intuitive reverse psychology and predict a miserable 0-2 loss.

    Sorry. :doom:

I think tonight could be a cracking game. From what I'm hearing from the Watford camp, the players are going to be up for it. The criticism they got after Hull has motivated them for this one.

Having said that, Liverpool will be equally motivated.

We have to score the first goal to have any chance of getting something in this match, I feel. Even though we're up for it at the kick off, this attitude suddenly drops in many of the team once we are losing. That's why taking the lead is so important.

No matter what anyone says, we are NOT safe until it's mathematical. Having a relaxed attitude towards safety can only have a negative effect. It takes your edge off and before you know it, the teams who were 12 points behind you are suddenly within 3 points and you've only got one game left to play.

No one celebrates promotion until it's mathematical, so no one should we consider we're safe until we actually are. We need 2 more points to be certain. Win tonight then happy days.

I agree with most of what you say, but I think one point would probably be enough. Having said that there is every chance that we would still survive even if we lose all five of our remaining games.

Having looked at all our remaining games, and of those teams below us, I think Crystal Palace could yet be dragged into it, and that Swansea will survive.

Therefore IMO, along with Sunderland, it will be any two of these three: - Boro, Hull & Palace, with Swansea pulling clear.

I'm not so sure. Liverpool are a funny side. They either turn up and tear down teams or they don't and are on the wrong end of the upset. I guess they are a bit like Watford; just that they are far better side with a more successful history and a better Barnes

I would be very happy with a draw today, even if it's 0-0 but I would be even more-so with a win which will essentially guarantee our survival as well as move us back up to the table where we belong.

I see "Mr Impartial" Jamie Carragher is the pundit on SkySports tonight. Alan Pardew is the other one!!

The angle will be all about Liverpool with Watford providing the backdrop. We'll either be labelled canon-fodder or party poopers to Liverpool's ambitions.

At least Mr Carragher is aware Watford are in the EPL. I loved his comment after we beat them 3-0 last season. "I thought they were at the bottom then saw they were half way up". Graeme Souness thought Watford were still in the Championship, and probably still does.

    GoingDown "The Stability"

Agreed. Two ways to go about this game. Accept relegation and play the youngsters or try desperately to get the three points that MAY keep us up if miracles happen and other results go our way for the rest of the season.

I think we all know it's over but get behind the boys and they might surprise us, the *****.

Can't see anything other than us trying to keep it to 5 to keep our goal difference above water. 0-4 would be a good result.

    Sorry, accidental dislike.

Was feeling positive but can only hope now that's a back four with Britos at left back. The thought of Amrabat or Janmaat as a left wing back fills me with dread.

Subs: Pantilimon (GK), Success, Behrami, Zúñiga, Kabasele, Okaka, Eleftheriou.

Wally is a tactical mastermind. He will have caught them right off guard with that line up.

I've got Prodl, Okaka and Niang to score any time. All three will pay out with any luck.

The scousers are scared to death. City and United are breathing down their necks and they just got beat by Palarase on their own scouse heap. They're quivering in their shell suits and nervously twiddling their perms and fingering their moustaches.

We're good at bullying nervous teams.

I reckon this is going to be a GREAT night, looked back at on You Tube for years to come.
