That court case is 'dead in the water' and he wasn't fined at all.

Agreed. No problem with giving Ighalo a 1 if that's how they want to rate people but Pereyra was absolutely abysmal too, as were the two you mentioned, and Deeney and Capoue weren't far behind. If Ighalo was a 1, none of those were above a 3. Really quite personal in their comments questioning his professionalism too:

Can only presume that Affleck got his speeding ticket on the way to an Ighalo interview that was cancelled.

 

It's notable how personal WD Sport get on a regular basis. Makes it all the more strange that Kevin/members of his family come on here using pseudonyms and say that we're being too harsh or personal in our criticism of him and that we should cut him some slack.

 

Is that Kenedy's dad?

 

I feel like WD's latest rating of 4 for Ighalo is again pretty unfair. He held the ball up well, was involved in some nice phases of play and was not noticeably worse than some of our other players who are scoring 6s.

They seem to just pick whichever player is going through the worst run of form, and continually single them out for criticism in their articles. It was the same last season with Nyom, who came under fire week after week, when nobody in our squad was playing well. I agree that Success should be starting ahead of Iggy, and that Nyom was **** for a huge chunk of last season, but singling out our players for repeated criticism appears personal.


Its a shame because I have enjoyed the majority of their reporting over the last few years.
