WD Sport reporting that Deeney is a fatty.

    Classy.

The Wobby has an 'Italian source' who is always wrong and WD have people wandering around the 'corridors of power' who get it wrong too.

  5. I am finding it very funny right now that WD Sport are revealing that it wasn't Quique who wanted Suarez like they have prized open a deep dark secret from the very heart of the club.

I do believe that the only reason anyone thought he was, was because a local hertfordshire sports publisher told us so. Step forward WD Sport, and don't hold back on the gushing apologies please...

I think you'll find those articles have either been deleted or edited. So it never happened.

Has it struck others like myself that Deeney may be the kind of person who needs to be exercising regularly to avoid putting on weight? If that's the case he should thank his lucky stars he found his niche in football and became a Watford hero in the process.

Though I hope he doesn't have a weight problem, because he deserves a happy and healthy retirement having long since cemented himself amongst the great Watford legends.

    Overweight doesn't mean fat.

Deeneys clearly not fat, just a bit bulky. I'm sure he'll lose it after a few games like he always does.

If anything, Deeney looks like he's been hitting the weights too hard rather than not enough. I suspect that training with the boxing crew probably adds more weight than the average footballer needs.

Deeney's not overweight, he's just got a fat imbalance.

Total non-story. Surely that is the exact purpose of pre-season - to get players into shape?

Deeney is solid, build like a brick outhouse a bit like myself. The benefit of this is that neither of us will ever be able to wear skinny jeans.

If you burn at least twice as many calories a week as the average person you have to eat more, what's difficult is easting less when you take a break from exercise.

In my case I don't do any exercise either so I'm screwed.

Seems like WDSports have just given up. No articles on the day when we're signing Pereyra and Kaboul, just a couple of perfunctory updates on the rolling newsfeed. The beginning of the end?

Despite fear of being accused of being Kevin again, although you seem to accuse anyone with a positive word about WD as being him, I would just like to say I hope that if a member of your families are ever seriously ill, as Jane from WD announced Kevin is going through, that you receive the same shameful attitude as you have directed towards Kevin. Absolutely disgusting. There is more to life than football and I am stunned that there is not a little more humility spread around to fellow human beings. Why, because he swore at someone who happens to write for the Observer part-time and who then put it on here - obviously unbiased. Big deal. I for one hope whoever is suffering serious illness in his family is getting better, from a human, decent person point of view. Something that seems to be missing from here.

You are either a) related to him or b) know him. The vast majority of people are not criticising Kevin per se, more observing the fact WD Sport is on a downward slope, irrespective of the reasons why. Also some people have long memories of Kevin going back before he made a ranting phone call to a member of this board.

  28. GoingDown

    GoingDown "The Stability"

None of the criticism levelled at WD Sport has had anything remotely to do with his family.

Either you're trolling or you're not, but either way, it's a ****ish thing to suggest.

All anyone here needs to do is look at your forum posts and they are basically all either links to WDSport articles or you sticking up for Kevin.. Doesn't help your case.

Also doesn't help that you seem to accuse people on this board of having a shameful attitude towards Kevin in relation to the sickness his family member has been suffering.

This was your first post on this board... far too obvious that its written by Kevin:

No I am not Kevin, and I am female and I do have a daughter - not usual to invent such things, I am sure if anyone from WD read the things that are said they would reply them self. And yes, I do know someone that knows Kevin's family well, and what a difficult time it is and why he may not be putting whether players are or are not signing as top priority. Obviously nobody is suggesting you are knocking somebody's illness, the point I am making is kicking someone when they are down. Perhaps a bit of latitude and kindness now and again.

I have said this before, I don't understand why anyone thinks they have a right to expect anything from WD whatsoever.

No one pays for a service, do they?

If health issues, or anything else, mean that WD are not performing it is only going to adversely affect themselves. It doesn't affect us one iota.

They don't have a right to expect anything, no. They do have a right, however, to make their feedback known.

Was not questioning people's rights to an opinion/feedback, was merely suggesting a bit of kindness when we are aware of mitigating circumstances.
