I'm not buying it unless the children who made it were given free health insurance to cover any injuries they picked up during the manufacturing process.

 

I really doubt a club like ours makes that much from kit sales.

The club aren’t playing, they aren’t training and it’s been pretty unanimous that from what we have seen, the kit is horrific anyway. I really don’t see the panic or criticism if it isn’t released for a couple of weeks yet.

The only people missing out are the few who religiously buy the short the day it comes out in some sort of weird show of how big a fan they are. It’s an overpriced bit of highly flammable polyester that’s made in a sweat shop.

 

Bought the striped kit from 2 years ago because I thought it looked nice, other than that I can't remember the last proper football shirt I bought (other than from flea markets for peanuts lol)

 

Bleeding from the eyes the most likely injury going by the alleged design.

 

At least the away kit can only get better next season.

 

I bought the last shirt during lockdown as it was reduced.

That didn't go well.

 

I brought this seasons shirt and that’s the first time I have done it for ages. I wanted to make sure I had our relegation shirt. I now proudly have all three kits we’ve been relegated from the Premier League in, and I think I have somewhere the kit we got relegated in 1996 too. If I buy the kit next season be afraid, very afraid. It looks awful though, so I think the risk is low.

 

I don’t care either way but it’s just lost income by not releasing early. Enthusiasm for new kit purchases wane quickly and people like to have them for the summer. Just more incompetence from the club in my view.

 

Oh yes, I agree...we have always behind the curb in these things. I just don’t know how much it matters as I suspect the financial implications are next to nothing - we sell so few shirts anyway that anyone who wants one will still buy it. I doubt many will refuse to buy it because it wasn’t released 2 weeks earlier in time for their holiday to Tenerife.

Frankly, the club have bigger things I think they need to worry about!

A lot better than what is currently being touted as our new shirt, is it to late to change it?

 

I wonder whether the kit launch is delayed because we are having issues Or renegotiating with the shirt sponsor after our relegation ?? Just a thought

Worth paying them as much to buy their third kit as we paid them for Troy. Our tiger kit could then be donated to Muff who will need a bit of charity.

You'd think the club would have said something by now, even some kind of sarcastic 'stop bugging us about the bloody kit' tweet.
