I've always felt a mixture was right: men marking but with 2 zonal markers and in which case that space would not have existed.

 

3 or 4 of them played those sides. The rest didn’t.

 

They’re just objectively harder fixtures, the clever thing about the league table is that by this stage of the season the crap teams are at the bottom and the good teams at the top. It will be harder to pick up points against Norwich, Reading, Boro, Brentford and Swansea than it was against Birmingham, Rotherham, Forrest, Wycombe and Blackburn. Nobody is terrified, just less certain of 3 points against better teams.

Yes, I think so. But the resulting hole in the ground was used as a rubbish tip for a while. Occasionally holes appeared in the pitch as stuff rotted away beneath the surface. This is not hearsay, I was there when a hole appeared during a match! They filled it up with buckets of soil. 1961, apparently, and so I only remember it vaguely. In the close season, when nothing much is going on, I'll try to find some photos my Grandfather took of the stadium when it was new.

Absolutely spot on about picking up the ball after committing a foul. I had a rant about this the other day along with other rules such as taking a throw in from where the ball went off and taking your shirt off in celebration in front of your own fans. How that is a booking is beyond me

Depends on the player. Masina stripping off to reveal his not overly muscular but highly defined torso is to be encouraged, but no one wants to see Deeney's wobbly blancmange belly so a booking would be appropriate in that scenario.

Well of the current squad I'd say 10 did....Foster, Femenia, Cathcart, Kabasele, Masina, Hughes, Chalobah, Cleverley, Sarr, Gray. That's also not including the injured Deeney and the criminally under-used JP.
