Carrillo has an abductor problem and is not available for the game. To be fair to Carrillo, you've presumed that the "abductor" Gracia is referring to is a muscle. He might've been kidnapped for all we know. #freeCarrillo #releasehimITKJim
Hard to get enthusiastic about this game, though watching Deeney race after an ice-cream van should raise a few chuckles from the fans. Let's hope the fans don't try a pitch invasion again otherwise we might concede a late goal and miss out on the ineptitude cup that we are going to be presented with after the game.
Cheers mate. I didn't read any of that patronising nonsense but I hope your club goes bankrupt and ceases to exist.
Steady on, that’s not the way to treat members of the great toon army who must regard us as their bogey team of late. They will have a long journey here and some will even take their shirts off to proudly show what a fast food and beer diet can do to fine specimens of north east manhood. Troy Deeney even went on that True Geordie chappy podcast and there was lots of mutual respect by the two weight challenged gentlemen. Admittedly, Mr Fish forgot to say he came in peace but I wish them all a safe journey down to the friendly sunny south but a depressingly long and safe journey back. 2-1 win for the revitalised Hornets.
With Watford at the moment and probably with Newcastle, too, it's diffcult to predict; but I really think we might win this one. If we play as we did against Spurs we will look much better than N Utd. For much of this season they have looked pretty much like a Championship side. You have to hand it to Benitez (and a couple of good loans) for their success. The crunch, of course, is whether or not we can actually score from some of our chances.....
Pereyra is back who has looked like popping up in the right positions in the box lately, I'm hoping he picks up where he left off after his recent displays at home especially.
Quite a few of the first teamers are called up by their cricket teams. Annoying but unavoidable. I’m told this is we never pursued Denis Compton’s signature.
One of my earlier jobs was brand manager for Flake, that crumbly, flakey chocolate. One project was to stop fake Flakes being served in 99s by ice cream vans. Whilst the poster proclaimed Cadbury’s, the actual flaked bar would be an inferior German product. I went to an ice cream convention in Stoke & found out that the vans were a major distribution channel for drugs, notably in Glasgow. Project cancelled in favour of filming another erotic ad featuring a sexy chick in rapture. Just seemed a better use of my time.
I very much doubt we will go down no matter what happens tomorrow, but I would be so much happier if we beat Newcastle or at least avoid a defeat. As if we do lose and other results go against us we will still not be safe going into the last match at Old Trafford, which cannot be a good thing
I'd try Richarlison up top. He can't hit a barn door either, but at least runs around a lot and creates some shooting opportunities. Richarlison Pereyra Hughes Delefau Doucoure Capoue Wheelie bin Kabasele Cathcart Kiko Gomes
I alwsys thought the flake tasted bad because it was cold. Didn’t realise the ice cream dudes were pulling a fast one.
That's a dreadful idea. He played down the centre for 20 minutes in one of Silva's games before it was changed around as it was clear he was a fish out of water there. As with Gray he can't hit a barn door, but his hold up play and runs off the ball would actually be a downgrade - he can't play with his back to goal and although he runs around a lot he's not that good at finding space.
Last game as a season ticket holder today. Hope the golden boys can put up a performance that will make me regret my decision.....
Can everyone stick a bunch of money for Watford to lose to ensure that we either draw or win to get the point(s) we really need for survival?
Would love for us to surprise Newcastle with a 4-3-3, but we won’t. We are going to lose and be relegated on the final day.
I'd try Richarlison up top Of Occupation Rd selling burgers, all he’s F-ing good for. Most over hyped pile of **** ever to wear a watford shirt
Motson commentating for BBC-just been on football focus. He said 1/ Watford groundsman has just won Premier League award for best pitch in PL 2/ Watford are mathematically safe 3/ Rumour is Deeney up front with ANDY Gray 4/ Watford have had 10 managers since Pozzo's took over He is retiring after this game apparently
Karnezis keeps his place. Farewell match for Deeney. Deulofeu only on the bench? Must be because he's not fit enough again yet, surely... PS I'm liking the club's graphics on twitter for the lineup
Deeney and Gray to show incredible chemistry and score a hattrick each, just so we can look back on the whole of the season and question why we never gave these two dynamic strikers a chance on the same pitch.
