As they say, this. Saw the team sheet & assumed it was a pre season trial for the loan options. On a fashion note, vertical stripes are slimming. Might Troy’s head be turned by this?
HB1 has clearly been hacked. The IT security on this forum is shocking. Under GDPR they had better hope our data is held securely and with all the right permissions.
Watford to sign off a disappointing home campaign with a win. Deulofeu to star. There have been some promising signs under Gracia and this will be the match things click back for him again. A point next week against a side hopefully distracted by the cup final isn’t out the question either.
I can’t be bothered to read the first page, but I assume the weekly theme is heavy sarcasm, based on your sudden return to optimism. My turn: I think we’ll play well enough for me to bother using my season ticket. Gray will show us that he’s the fast clinical striker that we were promised and an improvement on Amrabat. Holebas won’t do anything stupid and will show that he’s a Premier League level footballer.
On the proviso Delefau plays, as does Cathcart and Kabasele, oh and Hughes... + Pereyra... and maybe Gomes in goal... I actually think we will do okay for this one An edgy 2-1 home win wraps up the seasons meagre points haul Would be nice if Chalobah makes an appearance from the bench
Aside from 1 or 2 posts it's actually been a decent preview thread for once. People talking football and stuff. A nice mix and a genuinely nice change.
Brilliant, Also loved the other posts about Deeney and the kids ice cream van posts before. Really made me chuckle. By the way the judge for the contest could be Big Fat Sam who unexpectedly sneaks away early during Everton’s game to oversea it. As for the match we’ll its the last hurrah at the Vic for another season and it would be great to end our awful run with a much welcomed win. This has to include: No red cards No yellow cards No Deeney sign language of any kind Gray to score Gomes to make his 100th appearance A good referee No last minute slacking off There. I don’t think anyone can say I’m being unreasonable there.
Interesting that the Newcastle fan suggests that their players are on holiday already. I thought we put in a lot of effort Monday and if we continue in that vain then I think we will win. Hope to see Gomes and Deulofeu start and a nice 3-0 win in the sunshine. Mr Whippy, no flake
I'm only looking forward to this because Deulofeu is back. Hughes will finally have someone on his wavelength. I'll be gutted if we don't sign him, has the class we've been lacking all season. Be nice to see Chalobah too.
Email from the club says some player awards will be handed out on the pitch after the match. Maybe they're going back to doing Player of the Season in the stadium rather than waiting for the black tie event? Shame it's not pre-game mind.
Who’d have thought back in late October / early November that we’d be heading in to our last home game still not mathematically safe? What a capitulation. Gomes back in goal. Chalobah to come off the bench and Deulofeu to score and lift up his shirt to reveal the message “I’m staying”...
Think it's team awards for "Most Inept" and "Most Injured", plus a special golden plaster cast for Kaboul for missing the most days out of everyone in the Premier League.
I am waiting for team announcement before deciding whether to leave the pub....If that greek **** is in goal again, I am staying put
Just been on skybet. Can anybody help me out with this: Watford -2 goals (2 goal handicap, therefore need a 3 goal margin to win) 9/1 Watford to win by 3 or more goals 12/1. Is there a difference? Why different odds?
Put a fiver on both. What's the worst that can happen...lose a tenner I guess. Win 3-0 you stand to win over a grand I think.
Injury update is Bobby P back in training, Deloufeu probably not ready to start, Kaboul and Chalobah both in training but need to improve their condition. Oh and Carrillo is out with a 'it's nearly the world cup and I ain't playing for you chumps and risking injury' strain.
