Dabbawal is decent, well the Jesmond one is, I've not been to the one in the centre. Curries aside, make a weekend of the trip up North next season, you'll not regret it. Especially if the fixture lands on a Bank Holiday.
We've got to beat United at the weekend to stand any chance of survival, it looks like an impossible task but hopefully the lads can pull something out of the bag - it's going to be a nervous affair and I hope the fans have something up their sleeves to get the game cancelled if we're not winning in the 89th minute.
One of the girls I met during freshers week at uni was from Newcastle (not born there so no accent, luckily for her). And good lord - first night out she wore a skirt that was almost verging on a belt. The other girls on the floor apparently had a quiet word with her about that and she started dressing a bit more...well, I'd say "conservatively" but I suppose "actually wearing something" was probably closer to the mark. Women's fashion in Newcastle is definitely something else.
Didn't Jack Charlton walk out on Newcastle all those years ago because of the hateful abuse he was getting from them? Or is my memory playing tricks?
The fickle Geordie fans started calling for his dismissal when a player the club was trying to sign joined Sunderland instead - so he left. Lord only knows what he would have made of our fans - he probably would have quit before he started.
