Given our record with crap ref decisions in head-to-head games against the top teams this season, I wouldn't bet against it.
Constructive thoughts often lead to fans thinking they know better than the management. These people know far more about how to win a football game than we do. We only get to judge on the hindsight of seeing the performance. They have to make judgments on how best to win each game before it takes place. At this stage in the season, I personally think it is our job as fans to unquestionably support our team and be "endlessly positive"- the team will sense it and get and will give them that little bit extra. I believe you do get behind the boys as much as the next person at games- but others don't and its because they think they know better than the management because theyve been on this forum! At the end of the day Watford FC are more likely to win a game of football with us singing and cheering. Thats a fact. Criticism on here is what breeds discontent on matchday.
Blimey , even out of that team, only Deeney, Abdi and Gomes are guarenteed starters and Vydra,Tozer and Angella likely starters.
I still miss Zola Best football I probably will ever see at wuffud, for those ~3 months it was breathtaking stuff I'd still have him back... Nani let him down with last years squad
Who's to blame for Burnley, Blackpool, Peterborough, Leeds & Wembley? Probably Zola and a bit of Matthew Briggs with a pinch of Dom Poleon. Zola's not a great manager, if he was he would've got us promoted the first time round. Last years squad wasn't great but most the blame lies with Zola rather than Nani.
Maybe he's just a much better coach than a head coach? Let him concentrate on the technique and skills and let someone else worry about the tactics. I don't know how deep the Pozzos' pockets are but I would sooner pay for him than AN Other player.
Don't forget Bristol City. Probably the most miserable I've ever been at a football match - a long journey to stand in what was basically a shed, absolutely freezing and soaking wet, watching Sean Murray 'play' RWB. Absolutely horrible evening.
Joka's got a team of coaches already. Would he want Zola in addition? I doubt it & bringing him in without Joka's consent would not be wise. And would Zola want to be one of our coaches under someone else anyway? I have my doubts about that too.
1. Play PudIl. 2. Play Vydra. 3. Supporters stay and applaud / encourage the team even if we lose instead of bugg*ring off early to get home 5 minutes earlier. 4. Less long balls. 5. Get Abdi fit. 6. Just be happy with a point occasionally.
