I'm really looking forward to this game with equal parts excitment & apprehension. It's going to be a tough game I think, one which both teams are more than capable of winning. From what i've seen of Palace this year they are a bit of a jekyll & hyde team - they certainly shouldnt be underestimated. Hopefully the larger pitch at Wembley will suit our style of play and make it easier to find space for ourselfs since Palace are sure to work hard putting pressure on players.

My thoughts exactly .... just enjoy the game and support the team it's all WE can do.

Probably doesn't make any difference to either party, easier to get a loan deal through in quickness too if it was on deadline day. Also that way Brighton can dictate that they don't want him to play against them easily too

    Palace expected line up:
    ----------Speroni------------
    Ward Gabbidon Delaney Moxey
    ------Jedinak Dikagoi---------
    ----Zaha Garvan Williams------
    --------Wilbraham------------

I think it could be a slow game where both teams are looking to counter. Zaha and Williams pace is hard to match for any defenders, while Vydra will be trying to exploit the lack of pace in Gabbidon and Delaney.

Dobbie won't cause any trouble, I feel certain of that as his loan has finished and will not be able to play in the final

Nearly every team in the championship has a couple of great players we always have to be wary of, palace are no different , we have even more players they will be worried about. looking at both teams predicted, I'd have Williams and zaha, and when you look at their equal numbers vydra and abdi, would you swap then? I wouldn't..... But yes, football isn't played in paper so we have to be wary, but lets play our own game.

I hope this is the case. Holloway will love that. "How is it right that their loans expire after the final and ours ends before the final? How is that right? What would Sir Alex make of that?"

We could certainly get at their defence and their midfield is not altogether that creative aside from Williams and Zaha. Although they may prefer to play Bolasie on the wing.

Fortunate that Parr may be out. Speroni is a top class keeper but Schmeichel was as well and we managed to put three past him and it could have been five. As with every other game this season the players will just have to work as hard as they do and if they do I think our extra edge in quality in midfield will provide our front two with enough chances to win the game.

They may have Zaha but we also have a potential world class player of the same age in Vydra. Gollum will be trying to use setpieces as weapons given our frailty all season with them. That is something Zola and company will be working on. If Hall is fully fit then I would throw him in. It is unfortunate we have lost Nosworthy who is aerially capable.

    Pitch sizes:
    Wembley 105 x 69 metres.
    Vicarage Road 105 x 68.5 metres.
    Selhurst Park 100.5 x 67.6 metres.

They are a danger and have nothing to lose. All it takes is one small error and that can be it. But Gianfranco and his team will no doubt prepare everything and everyone to the nth degree.

I've just been listening to the Leicester assistant manager who said they really tired in the 2nd half after we kept the ball for a sustained amount of time. They put on another midfielder to combat it but he said our quality shone through. Keep the ball against Palace and they should tire, just make sure we're not losing before then....

Brighton play that sought of style though and didn't work for them last time, I would be interested in seeing the 3-0 Brighton win and the 2-0 Palace win and see what both teams did differently if anything.

Looking to get over myself, flights are working pretty expensive and the ticket prices don't help for a student, that's even if I'm able to get a decent one as i'll have to wait for general sale.

Don't worry about "decent." The fact will be that you are there, amongst your WFC brethren when it happens. That's got to be worth the money, even if you have to squint a bit.

Yeah that's true, just flying over and getting a seat which requires binoculars could be a bit of a bummer, although i would save a few quid on the cost of the ticket! Although someone said a while back that the view isn't bad at all and I'm sure the atmosphere will be alot better than an England friendly!

It will be better than an England friendly, which is 2 days later against Ireland. If we lose on the Monday I think I will probably give the Wednesday a miss. Couldn't bring myself to go back there so soon.

Looks like I may be traveling to Wembley in an open top bus, with a hog roast after.

This day has the potential to be absolutely amazing.

I bloody well hope so, I've been talking about it so much I'll feel embarrassed if I'm not in the pond at some point should Watford go up.

I'll have to get someone to video it.
