However much of a mug anyone is, derby trump you with that fee. I like Matty but...

Lots saying 12.5m on here, but most outlets reporting £8m.

WD are responsible for the £12.5m figure.

Didn't they quote that in euros and pounds in the same article?

Seems like they don't really know what they are saying.

A great shame that Joker has snapped up Chris Martin for Fulham. As somebody has already said, he'd have been an ideal partner for Vydra.

I hope Matej doesn't once again find himself stuck in a formation that doesn't suit his considerable talents.

Absolutely. Our sell on fee relies on him finding his form again. Then he truly will be the goose that laid the golden egg.

Don't really care, not our problem anymore. Couldn't be bothered when he was here so **** him.

Don't agree. Martin is a selfish player just interested in his own attempts a bit like Ighalo. Vydra has effectively replaced him.

Are we supporting Derby County AND Sheffield Wednesday now then? Do I need to gain an unhealthy obsession with both clubs?

...because clearly for some people on here when he's not performing very well it's never because maybe he's just not good enough - it's always someone else's fault.

Probably because the idea of Vydra not being good enough to play at Championship level is completely absurd and moronic based on his attributes and his past achievements at that level.

Suits me nicely as it would cut down on the travelling. Come October 29th and I've put the scarf on, do I drive down the M1 to Watford to watch the Horns v Dull or take the bus to the IPro for Derby V Sheff Weds to watch Vyds and kech take on Fessi, Pudil and McGugan?

We will get treble the excitement if they all win but conversely probably suicidal if they all lose.

No problem. We will buy them all back as those clubs will know they clearly aren't prem quality. No matter how good they were in the champ

Probably hasn't helped they sold Chris Martin - he might have worked well with Vydra as a big target man.

I'm afraid that Vydra, yet again, seems to be showing that he's not good enough consistently enough.

Definitely the right decision to get rid and just from 11 mins I think there's more hope in Okaka than in Matty in the Premiership.

Because Vydra's responsible for the service to him?

Derby hadn't scored a goal at home before he arrived...the problem's not Vydra.

    Time to move on sweetie.

I suspect Derby paid a considerable fee for Vydra (even by their standards) in an attempt to SOLVE the problem!

Everyone leave poor little Matej alone, it's upsetting hornetgags. Don't want him wetting himself again.

Vydra's particular skills are running at speed into great positions behind the defence, and finishing coolly. He does need him to be given the ball when he's moving into space, just as a dominant header of the ball like Heidar needed good crosses.

Football's a team game that demands a certain mix of skills.
