Nobody has it correct. Battocchio was joint 6th on the list and 13/14 was Abdi's injury season. Ranegie was joint 8th.

I liked Acuna, really wanted him to do well. Unfortunately he was a bit crap in the end.

 

Abdi was out for ages so doubt he’s in it. McGugan would have scored more I think.

His goal record has stunk everywhere he's been - bar the 1 season where he smashed it for Girona (17 goals) in 40 games which convinced us to buy him. His best seasons other than that have been a season in Paraguay (5 goals in 19) and a season in Thailand (6 goals in 15) which aren't even amazing numbers considering the quality of the leagues haha. Across his career he's got 56 goals in 344 apps, dire numbers for a striker.

 

Brilliant before he joined us, crap during and after he left. Another career we ruined.

 

Well, was only good the season right before joining us. Was pretty much awful before that point as well, I think Pozzos just took a punt hoping that the 12/13 season wasn't a one-off, although sadly it did turn out to be a one-off.

 

To the people that tried to guess the four other top scorers after Deeney in 13/14, the correct answer was:

McGugan, Angella, Forestieri and... Sean Murray.

 

Is that right that Udinese current manager was plucked from obscurity at Crawley Town?

 

As well as no one coming close to Deeney in the goal-scoring department, didn’t we have the worst record in the 2013/14 Championship for dropping points from winning positions and/or the most number of goals conceded in the 90+th minute?

A lot of people seem to be thinking we might bring back Deulofeu, you guy's do realise he is now a Udinese player and NOT on loan to them?

If he was still on loan that might just be a possibility, but as he is now their player I cannot see that happening, can you?

 

It’s a mixture of hope and speculation based on our precarious position.

No-one thinks we are going to bring him back. People wish we could.

 

My sources told me a few weeks ago that Deulofeu's partner misses Watford and she has been urging Geri to ask for a move back here. I've now been told that the new Puttshack in the town centre has led to them actively looking for houses in the Watford area. Sounds like it could be happening.

That said, it’s hardly a hard transfer to make so not sure why you’re suggesting it would be difficult? (Players own wishes not withstanding)

You only need to look at the Pussetto back-and-forth to see it hardly matters whether it’s a loan or permanent deal.

 

I know it would not be difficult logistically, but you hit the nail on the head when you said "players own wishes not withstanding" which is what I meant when I said "I cannot see that happening can you"

The relevance of the fact that he is a Udinese player means we could not force him to come back to us, but if he was still contracted to us we could. Having said that it would not be ideal to make him return, but we could do that if he was still our player and not theirs.

 

If Gino wants him, Gino will get him.

 

Udinese have named a really strong side for today’s match against Salernitana despite the fact that their opponents are unable to attend the match due to a covid outbreak. Looks like they are attempting to have the match is forfeited rather than postponed so they get an automatic 3-0. They have turned up to the stadium, started warming up, and have tweeted out their XI. Pretty funny.

 

We'd still manage to concede if that happened to us.

 

What happened ? Presume postponed but BBC website still shows "match delayed 30 mins" and soccerway just doesn't show a score.....
Given Salernitana's form it might be that we would prefer to play the game and hope for a better score than 3-0 ?

 

The league wouldn't postpone the game for some unknown reason (perhaps a Gino backhander) - Salernitana wanted to play but weren't allowed to travel by their local health authority. So with the league saying the game was still on Udinese had to go through the motions of acting like the game was going ahead, even though they knew it wasn't. Even the referee had to turn up, where he followed protocol by waiting 45 mins then declaring the game off. Think it'll go down as a 3-0 to Udinese.

 

If Sarr's out and Dennis goes to the AFCON then Gino will have no other option than to bring back Deulofeu.

Udinese and Forestieri have mutually terminated his contract. Udinese also terminated the contract of Teodorczyk yesterday. Why can't we terminate the contracts of some of our tat to make room for incomings? Kiko, WTE and Gosling would be top of my list.
