I've been going to Watford for the last 23 years, but I outright said no to paying to watch us at Chelsea.

I feel as though this has left me in some kind of real fan limbo, and I'm not sure what to do. Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

From the sound of that interveiw with TD, we might be in danger of losing him in the summer as well as IO!

Ighalo I think is replaceable for reasons I have stated in my "Is Deeney the Key?" thread, but I would be loathed to lose Deeney!

 

Before this season started I was resigned to the fact that this will be Troy's last with us. But considering the heights we are aiming for and the fact that there is a genuine 2-way love in between him and the club/fans there will be very few clubs that would represent a bigger challenge. As it stands only the 2 Manchester clubs, the 2 Liverpool clubs + the big 3 London clubs. Of those 7 clubs, 5 of them would not even consider Deeney in a million years so realistically only Everton and Spurs would be the step up to clubs that would ever consider him.

I think we'll have Deeney for another couple of seasons.

 

I agree. Although Everton wont pay the money we would want for Deeney and i doubt he would want to live up there. So Spurs is the only real one, although I have a feeling West Ham when they move to the new ground next season might be interested. either way 6 months is a long time in football. lets hope him and Iggy are still being talked about in the summer. if they are we stayed up and they kept playing well.

Is it a bit small-time for our fans to balk at the suggestion that our captain and one of our best players might be wanted by a club in the same division as us?

 

I think they will both be sold after this season.Troy has been so loyal to Watford already and is going to want to move on and play champions league and for england and a massive pay rise what player wouldn't.The only way I could see him staying another year is if we finish in the top six this year,which I don't think will happen.
