Humourous how some interpret pozzo model- the replacement would be in placeallready if we were selling
As Troy said last night on 3 counties radio, if Bale is worth 85 million then he's worth 120 million!!
#ITK I have also heard this. Tommy Smith coming back as a replacement #ITK He gets the ball he scores a goal...
His price has gone up somewhat after today and I think Deeney would want to show the club some loyalty after we backed.
The Pozzos have just got to say no to any bids. Deeney will be more use to hem here if they want the club to go up. If he goes I really can't see us getting promoted.
The title of this thread is slightly misleading IMHO!!! That said, we have to resist any bids that do come in IMHO!!!
Well unless it is considerably more than the £8.5m Palace paid for that donkey from Peterborough, I would not even consider it!
IMHO you have not given a good enough answer. 10 million is not considerably more but you would not consider it? And why have you labelled Gayle a donkey? Gayle played well against us last season and is small, agile and quick. Unlike a donkey (see Emelie Heskey) so you're a bit unfair IMHO!!!
Donkey who!? IMHO you can **** off because IMHO he's a tsar.
Not that pointless of a thread.. pretty sure a significant bid has come in, although guessing it was before today's game.
Deeney has made his position clear, he isn't looking to leave. Even if the Pozzo family do accept a bid, all Deeney has to do is say no, he isn't interested. I'm sure the bids will come in before the close of the window. It's going to be pretty nervy.
I don't see Troy going unless it's for £10+ mil. He enjoys playing here and his value will only rise in time.
Whilst I generally agree with your view, I could see Spurs putting a £10m bid if they get £85m for Bale. Harry has an open cheque book at QPR so could bid anything and probably treble Deeneys wages. I think Deeney will stay till the end of the season regardless.
