Peruvian Sergio Peña, 17YO, from Alianza Lima (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/sergio-pea/profil/spieler_224672.html) is on trial at Udine and apparently very, very near to signing. Udinese anticipated several Spanish teams which were interested to the player. From rumours it seems that the player will go to Granada this summer.
Am I right in saying that Italian clubs can only sign 2 non-EU players a season? If so, will Sergio Peña be one of your 2 non-EU players to join this summer?
The rules are quite obscure really. I don't know if there are exceptions for very young players or what. I don't think he'll be one of the few extra-EU slots otherwise. Most likely it will be Granada to sign him. Also, as usual, in Spain he might gain citizenship in just 2 years, before being 20YO. Anyway, seen this video linked on Udinese forum and, even knowing you cannot judge from these videos, he seems really good. A very good feet for the long passage-assist. I hope the rumours are true then.
For what i know i think yes it is real that teams can sign no more than 2 not EU players and there are no exceptions... but if you buy a not Eu player and u give to anotehr team on loan, is the othere team that "uses" one of its not EU spot
Rumours saying that we have Piti (Rayo Vallecano) signed if we stay in primera. 4th spanish with more goals this year. Maybe for B team (playing on A team sometimes)...? 17 years...
I'm just reporting the rumours. Anyway, have you seen the video? According to transfermarkt data-base the lad has only recently played his first 100' in first team, in 5 matches. The things in the clip seem all from official matches, not the usual agents' stuff showing cracking goals scored in training. So, if that clip is what the lad has done just in his first 100' in first team, he seems a hell of promising player! You need balls and a great foot to make a 40 meters assist like the one at the beginning in your first match in first division. Edit. P.S.: anyway, of course a 17YO is not meant for starting 11 but for reserves at the beginning. Then if he's really good it's up to him to show that in training and climb up to bench and then first team.
A little bit of quite "fantasy" transfer rumours from Udinese forum, to spice your life. Facts: - Candreva (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Candreva, http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/antonio-candreva/profil/spieler_25488.html) is 50% Lazio and 50% Udinese and is having a great season at Lazio, which probably will be willing to buy from Udinese the full contract. - Muriel will play next season at Udinese, unless a really crazy offer comes. - Kozak in Lazio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libor_Kozák, http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/libor-kozak/profil/spieler_63824.html) is quite a decent striker and currently top scorer in Europa League, but didn't find much space in starting 11 in serie A, being behind Klose and Floccari. - Vydra was a pupil for Guidolin who appreciated him greatly and would like to train him again. Rumours: - Atletico Madrid offered a large sum for Muriel but was refused. - Lazio might offer to Udinese Kozak in exchange for the remaining 50% of Candreva. Unlikely as he's not the kind of player who would like to move just to stay on bench again, behind Muriel and Di Natale - Atletico Madrid now sold Radamel Falcao to Monaco for 60M€. Crazy thoughts: 1) Atletico Madrid, bloating with cash from Falcao's deal, to offer a REALLY crazy sum for Muriel, accepted. 2) Candreva fully to Lazio, Kozak in exchange. 3) Vydra back to Udine to substitute Muriel. 4) Kozak and one other good striker bought with the extra money, to Watford. Hoping that can be enough to substitute Vydra. But don't worry. That's just crazy tinkering. You'll get used to how crazy transfer windows can be under the Pozzo's. Oh ... wait ... maybe you know already after last crazy summer?
According to "Gazzetta dello Sport" Udinese has signed the 17 YO Isaac Success, top scorer for Nigeria in 2013 African U-17 Championship. We will see if that's true.
Hope he lives up to his surname....... Thanks for all the rumours. It will be an interesting summer all round if Granada can stay up and we can make it into the PL.
What are the chances of Udinese pinching talent off recently relegated Palermo? Dybala, Munoz and Hernandez are said to be big prospects.
Dybala has been a bit off colour and needs to develop some more. Munoz is pretty solid and uncompromising and decent in both boxes aerially but can get caught out due to his lack of rapidity. Hernandez would be one too go for. Ilicic is going to be too pricey sadly. I think he'd do well with us...... Zamparini is a mad man and has ruined Palermo and he always inflates his prices. Pozzo Snr. will not do business with him.
There was a long thread at Udinese forum about the best players that could possibly be picked (hopefully at discout price) from the relegated teams. I admit I didn't follow those teams so cannot say anything with competence. About Zamparini, yes it's incredible. Palermo's team was quite good in quality and if they hadn't changed manager FOUR TIMES during the season (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012–13_U.S._Citt*_di_Palermo_season) at every whim of their crazy owner, they probably could have reached safety.
A man who has just died finds himself standing at the gates of Heaven. To his right is standing an attractive women, and to his left is a ladder. The woman speaks, "Come with me through the gate and spend eternity with me, or climb the ladder to success." The man always eager to get ahead in life chooses to climb the ladder. The man finds an even more beautiful woman standing in front of another gate. Next to her is another ladder. The woman says, "Come with me through the gate and all your fantasies will be granted, or climb the ladder to success." This time the man is tempted, but his greed takes over and he climbs the ladder higher. He again encounters a woman. This woman, however; is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She says, "come with me and I will satisfy your deepest desires forever, or climb the ladder to success." The man can't believe his luck. He decides to take his chances and climbs the ladder. He comes to another gate. This time there is no woman waiting for him. Suddenly an fat, balding, sweaty man walks up to him. "Are you God?" the man asks. "No," the sweaty man replies, unzipping his flies, "I'm Cess."
Movements about goalkeepers? From rumours: - Udinese interested in the 25YO Ivan Kelava from Dinamo Zagreb (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/ivan-kelava/profil/spieler_44227.html). Should be for Granada. - Daniele Padelli 27YO (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/daniele-padelli/profil/spieler_27807.html) currently second GK at Udine, will probably be sold to Torino. - Rafael Romo 23YO (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/rafael-romo/profil/spieler_101031.html), bought in 2009 but left in various loans and now in Venezuela, should return at Udine as second GK behind Brkic. - Simone Scuffet 16YO and doing well in Primavera team and in Italy U17, today playing final in 2013 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship against Russia, at 6PM Italy time (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/simone-scuffet/profil/spieler_238993.html) should be promoted to first team as 3rd GK. - Wojciech Pawlowski 20YO (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/wojciech-pawlowski/profil/spieler_138456.html) current 3rd GK at Udine and willing to play more should go on loan somewhere. Watford?
Interesting. An "alliance" between Udinese and Secasports, a Venezuelan Academy. http://www.lavinotinto.com/17-05-2013/confirmada-alianza-entre-secasports-y-udinese/

Nyom today: "Maybe the match against Osasuna was the last one that i play at Los Carmenes, I want to feel myself loved"
Igor Bubnjic, 20yo Croatian central-defender, signed by Udinese for £1.5m late August time has now joined the club, quite a hefty fee for the Pozzos! Why did Nyom say that Rojo, he is well loved at Granada, could see that from the TV the other day.
This is a good idea as Venezuelan football continues to improve. Several young Venezuelans are already in Spain and with this linkup Udinese could get in first for players like Ponce.
Nyom has officially renewed his contract with Udinese until June 2017. http://www.udinese.it/portal/IT/handle/?hil&page=redazione_approfondimenti&vid=834 Also Guidolin confirmed again that now, last year and the year before he received offers from "big teams", but he'll only be manager of Udinese in Italy. Yet he keeps the door open for an experience abroad. I'm wondering if that might mean Guidolin at Watford and Zola at Udinese in 2014-15.
Imagine the outrage it would inspire amongst the likes of Holloway if we were to swap managers. It would be glorious.
I think that could well happen, but not as soon as that. Watford have such a large scope for improvement, leaving after next season, perhaps unless we came down from the Premier League, would seem premature to me.
Roberto sign new contract for 3 years. Brahimi has been officially signed for Granada (he was on loan from Rennes) GREAT DAY!
Good to get some of the solid foundations in place for next season this early. Decent goalkeeper and Brahimi has been fairly impressive. Any movement for Buonanotte ? He has looked lively and sparked the attack when he has come on.
Buonanotte was already bought in January, for 2,3M€. He has a contract till 2017. An excellent signing! Also about movements and rumours: - it seems confirmed that Udinese has Sergio Peña (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/sergio-pea/profil/spieler_224672.html) from Alianza Lima. 70% of his contract (yes, in south-America it seems even this strange co-ownership are allowed) for 1M€. He'll be official as soon as he'll be 18YO in september. - very likely that Sergio Peña, Matias Campos (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/matias-campos/profil/spieler_73408.html) and Diego Rodriguez (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/diego-martin-rodriguez/profil/spieler_127828.html) will go to Granada. - very likely that Mathias Ranegie (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/mathias-ranegie/profil/spieler_46477.html) will go to Watford. Rumours again linked to an interview by Ighalo (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/odion-ighalo/profil/spieler_62121.html) last April saying that his dream is to play in Premier League. Apparently Swansea interested but should pay 5M€ for him. My comment: hopefully, if the player has this dream, he might fulfill it next season without being sold away from the Pozzo family (for a quite small handful of millions as he's young and quite good I think).
