I hate Wembley. I think I preferred the old, dishevelled, falling to pieces, flea ridden khasi of a dump,to this new incarnation. If we bring back Wright and Smart we might score,otherwise...
Usual defeat at Spurs, albeit a different stadium. At least we have the CB pairing of Cathcart and Kabasele. So only a 4-0 defeat.
This will be my first visit to the new Wembley with a seat in the lower tier. Hopefully it will be a better experience than in the upper tier where you are miles from the pitch and, crucially, detached from your fellow supporters down below, much like at West Ham. Has anyone been in both yet to compare the two experiences?
Was in the upper tier at West Ham and the lower tier for the playoff final v Palace. Both horrible experiences and views. Otherwise I've sat in my areas of the new Wembley and thought some of the views from the upper tier are actually quite good. At Spuds I'll be 10 rows from the front.
I'm not sure there's anywhere great for club football. I've done a few England in the upper tier and then Palace SF was lower tier but quite high up. I'd award each 0 wows.
We are gonna get smashed. Went to bet on us losing heavily and the bookies have Spurs -1 down as 4/9, not even worth the money!
Couldn't get a ticket for this so sky sport's week pass , £10 on Watford to win and doritos = £27 Bargain
I went to Wembley for an England match and can say it's as good as London stadium for being utter ***** One pro is you don't have to walk 30 minutes to get back to the station but you will likely be waiting 30 minutes to get into the station Saw Metallica play there too Better as music venue
In all seriousness there was talk of Shelvey possibly being called up to the England squad. If I was Will Hughes and this happened I would be gutted.
The Watford Observer has an injury update for Monday. Looks like Deeney will be fit but Okaka is out for the season. Kaboul is no longer training with the team due to a setback. Looks like Amersham took its toll on him, that mic is heavier than it looks! Deulofeu may feature while Pereyra trained today for the first time this week. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...6.INJURY_UPDATE__Mixed_news_on_striker_front/
I suppose now Rooney has retired they need someone else to take the role of 'liability'. Shelvey's definitely more than capable of getting sent off or giving away a stupid penalty in a crucial game.
Annoyed Deeney is fit as would like to see Gray get a run out in this one. I don’t think he has had a fair chance at proving himself this season. Reminds me a bit Troy’s first season for us being kept out of team by Graham/Sordell and when he did play he played on the wing. Hopefully Gray gets a chance to stake a place and go into pre-season on a high. Okaka can’t last 90 mins and even by playing 60 mins he injured himself. Absolutely pointless footballer
Also > “Kaboul had a problem this week and is not training with the team. It is only a problem for some days not long-term.”
The chances of one team below us turning form that got them below us into the form of man city is slim. The chances of two of them doing so is as likely as a meteor hitting wembley on Monday. The chances of every other variable also occuring is about as likely as A lloyd doyley hat trick.
If we lose this game like we have pretty much every away game since November, then I believe Troy Deeney will be solely to blame. Saw some article about him visiting a school and helping out some kids, fat **** should be training not helping the community.
I was really hoping Deeney being absent would force a change of tactic away from the battle to win midfield ball, pass back to Cathcart, hoof to Deeney, head on to no-one, midfield battle etc. etc until Capoue or Doucouré lose a midfield battle and someone fouls someone else too near our box...or we have to rely on Holebas to defend
