We had few options left in terms of appointing managers that would realistically come to Watford. We have sacked most of them, so predictable that we are now needing to recycle

Flores played the most negative, cowardly, unfootball-like football I have ever seen. He only ever worked on defensive drills in training, and absolutely bollocked the players after the win against Liverpool for defying him and playing with some positivity.

I've never enjoyed football less in forty plus years of watching Watford. 4-6-0 formations. Playing Capoue wide on the left with instructions to just defend and not to try playing any football. Sacrificing any attacking ambition whatsoever. Without Deeney and Ighalo going rogue before and up to the Liverpool game, we would have been relegated comfortably.

We will go down now, if he stays for the rest of this season. Forget what attacking potential is in our squad. He won't use it. I'm dreading watching us play his horrible way without anyone prolific enough to nick the points we'll need. You can't just defend your way to safety, but Flores has got no interest whatsoever in any other aspect of the game.

My condolences to season ticket holders who've already paid to watch the coming SHlT for the rest of this train wreck of a season.

 

QSF's tactics are ultra dull, but we needed something different.
How much input did JG have in the transfers? Not much if you listened to Duxbury on Talksport.
I think JG was out of depth towards the end. He looked lost. I liked him, he was very pleasant when l met him.
Survival is essential for Watford financially. Totally vital for the future of the club as a going concern.

My prediction is: everything’s going to be ‘amazing’.

 

What a dreadful decision. Gracia looked like a dead man walking but should have probably had the Arsenal and City games as we're likely to lose them anyway.

The season under Flores fell to pieces after a good start and was frankly masked by a good cup run. The football was drivel, and I think virtually everyone was pleased to see him go at the end. He had exactly the same issues as Javi with unwavering loyalty to out of form players and rigid, inflexible tactics. No chance of seeing youngsters in the team. Setting up for 1-0 wins or 0-0 draws. Bringing him back is honestly one of the strangest things I've ever seen happen at this club. He's hardly been setting the football world alight since, so what on earth is the rationale? I'm gobsmacked, frankly and can't shake the feeling that the wheels have come completely off this season.

 

It's one of our best ever songs, like a happier version of 'Elton John's Taylor made army' we sang it the day he left, we sang it under Mazarri, and we'll sing it the day he returns. Turgid defensive dross mixed with flashes of brilliance from Sarr, Del, Maxi, Welbz and Dre. If we do go down, lets go down fighting.
