Posted this on the Geordies forum - mainly because one I know lives in Stoke. Her comment:

Considering none of the articles, including those from Sky Sports themselves, say anything about a release clause then no, I don't believe it.

Sets the scene nicely for a late court invasion by HB1.

No tea breaks at RG so could go on indefinitely!

You do realise that not everything that sky Sports (and other media outlets) is replicated on their websites right? Just like not everything on The Daily Telegraph website isn’t in their broadsheet copy every day...

I would expect an article published on the Telegraph website to be consistent with one published in the Telegraph broadsheet on the same issue.

Are you sure you didn't just mishear, or have gotten stories on different transfers in a muddle somehow?

I'm trying to work out why he went over so early. The guy stuck his leg right out; all he had to do was touch it and go over, it was a gift, but he has acquired a habit of going over too easily and then complaining too much. Of course, like all fast wingers, he is fouled all the time anyway, so he shouldn't have to fake it. And I guess a lot of it hurts. But I don't want him to become Zaha marque 2.
However, I think I am right in saying that if a player has to take avoiding action from a foul then the ref can deem it a foul, even if no contact was made. And I think that exonerates him.
Even more puzzling is working out what the hell business is it of Stoke forumites. Just looking around for something to be outraged about?

A better comparison is Richarlison who went too ground so much, that coupled with his lack of goals after his sparkling first three months with us and wimpish demeanour, it got just embarrassing. Sarr has nothing on him (yet).

Correct. Avoiding action can be taken.

I thought he dived but that it was a penalty.

Also he had already touched the ball past the defender which I think helped the ref decide.

Know what? Despite our dodgy away form we might actually get our second win on the road at their place. :p

Cardiff won 3-0 tonight and had beaten Luton 4-0 on Saturday, they come to the Vic on Saturday

We may be the top 3, but we're still the relegated 3 and our defences prove it!

I only tuned in at halftime but Slartibartfast and Lord Brett Sinclair have scored good goals.
The third was a joy as AFC B player wanted a free kick, ref was not persuaded, player hand balled it and they scored from the free kick.
    Whoops.
    1-3.

True, but Cardiff are the defining club for the term inconsistent. I was worried when Preston came with their superb away form, and we did the job again. I do not think we will go unbeaten at home all season, but atm we have that record to protect. It would take a superb display from the other side or a total mental block from us to lose our home form. Que the latter.

Bad injury to Bauer it seems.
    Leaving on a stretcher.

2 points separate the top 7.

Will we or Norwich take advantage? Probably not.

I saw there was at least 12 mins injury time, thought ref was waiting for muff or score!

Brentford seem to be on a roll.
Watched the first half and didn't think too much of them.
Same v QPR Rangers but they won there too.

The centre half was down for five minutes and left on a stretcher so it was about right.

With Brentford and Bristol city both having away wins we need to be on our mettle tomorrow and bring back the bacon!

Bournemouth look soft at the back, easy to get in behind them.
