I reckon Bassett probably did too.

Certainly Wimbledon and Sheffield United, I think he also got Forest up in the 90s too

Great manager. Shame we couldn’t hold onto him for longer. He’d have got Gray firing on all cylinders.

I'd prefer his cousin Bertie any day.

    Still, it takes all sorts.

I preferred his daughter Carling, the 1980s tennis player.

Just realised the playoffs start on Monday. How nice to have forgotten they were coming up, rather than be worrying about them.

Plus we've already done all our transfer business for the summer, before those also rans even know if they're up.

I was trying earlier to figure out why the first legs aren't today. Was about to moan about the EFL moving things around for no reason but then realised it's because if they played this weekend they couldn't have crowds. So they've flipped the second legs to the weekend instead.

Likewise - I’m really looking forward to them and especially so now that, as @UEA_Hornet has pointed out, there will be fans there.

I presume the 2nd legs will be the same but the final might be in doubt fans wise with the worries over the new variant.

It's unclear whether or not the stadium has been used as collateral to secure loans or is vulnerable if our debts become unpayable.

Looking forward to them, maybe it’s the deteriorating weather affecting my judgement but my interest in this season has seriously flagged since promotion in the sunshine, especially since Saturday (at least we had a faint chance of the title and broke or set a few records in the process). Only the relegation-threatened teams had anything to play for, all the bottom three places in the Prem were decided early, and even the FA Cup final is a bit of a damp squib. Looking forward also to see how Oxford get on vs Blackpool in the L1 play-offs.

Barnsley for me also. Want Brentford to beat Bournemouth then this photo can be sent to every Bournemouth media outlet. But then I'd like Barnsley to beat Brentford in the final. Two reasons. The first may give us an opportunity to plunder Brentford, but also, I think Barnsley will be whipping boys if they went up.

I thought that Barnsley would be the best option for us to go up, but then I read somewhere that they have got a lot of money behind them these days, so maybe that might not be such a good idea after all.

So if that is true maybe Swansea might be better for us as I think we would probably take at least 4 points off them and possibly all 6.

You likely read it in a completely unfounded comment on here that I corrected at the time - they have the second lowest budget in the Championship and pursue a 'moneyball' (terrible cliche and not entirely accurate but also not a million miles away for example purposes) approach, as the Pacific Media Group do with all their clubs across Europe.

Can't stand Brentford and Bournemouth are absolute *****, but I think Bournemouth are less of a threat to us in the PL.

Ideal scenario is Swansea to beat Bournemouth in the final, hopefully through a dive, dodgy refereeing decision or last minute goal. Swansea are complete and utter dog droppings and would probably be an automatic 6 points next season.

You think Swansea could get as many as 6 points in the Prem?:D

    Optimistic.

Our C team beat them 2-0.

Swansea or Barnsley for me. Both comfortably worse than us on paper.

If they get the weather I've just had driving to the club they won't play, although very good diving weather!

Hailing like the wrath of Ζευς it was!

I think that Muff are probably weaker than they were before relegation, so are we to an extent. I'm not over fussed about the playoffs while I would prefer Barnsley, Swansea, Muff, Brentford in that order.
