Yep. However, I think with all the moving parts they are having to put in play to get all these games done, I doubt it’ll be the last time such a situation arises before the season ends. And it’ll happen to other clubs over the course too I suspect.

Perhaps they could do better, I don’t know. But I suspect all clubs are going to have to push aside any complaints around fixture congestion.

Sure, every team will probably have one or two instances of similar, but it's not very good for us that in our case it impacts our home game against Southampton - one of the few games we'll have had down as a must win.

It wouldn't have mattered so much if it had been before, say, our Man City game.

If you think that playing Burnley as the middle game of a Saturday-Thursday-Sunday week, while for Burnley it is the middle game of a Monday-Thursday-Monday week, then it just shows how hard it is to find a fixture list that pleases everybody.

They can't switch Watford-Burnley to Wednesday because they won't make a team play twice in three days.

Why have games on Thursday's at all? Full fixture list on Sat/Sun and Wed. Its only spread out for TV companies.

    True, didn't see that.

Another alternative then would be to just shift our game vs Southampton back a day to the Monday.

It's not like everyone will be rushing home or stopping for tea to watch our games ...

Is there a game after our one v Burnley ?

Sky will probably spend more time talking about that.

I've not missed football, quite the opposite. If the season does restart we will go down, but I really couldn't care less.

I basically agree with you, but it will make a change to hear people talking st1t about something that doesn't really matter. There have been too many people just talking sh1t about issues that are really important recently.
