An agent - Jon Smith has just been on SSN suggesting that he has has heard from various contacts that an unnamed English player under the age of 24 who was moving between 2 English clubs (Stoke?) but that move has broken down. And the rumours he has heard is that another unnamed English club is trying persuade the player to sit out his contract until January, sign for a European club they have lined up on a pre-contract or for a small fee to make it immediate and then move for a larger pre-agreed fee from said European club to unnamed English club but significantly lower than the fee being quoted this summer - could be nonsense but IF this goes on, could the two clubs be us and Udinese? I'd be very surprised if Berahino A) would agree too such a plan and B) would move to Udinese, however briefly. Plus it'd be another year of his career perhaps wasted when he needs to be playing football.

I don't think Gino is underhand, I imagine he negotiates hard but I wouldn't think he'd pi55 off a customer

He has always been prepared to run his contract down and we have never been prepared to offer big money for him and prepared to wait to get him for free if he wants to come. We would not have entered into any agreement to do this though. Frankly, WBA are mad to keep someone that didn't want to be there and lose all that money. They could have sold to Spurs nearly 2 years ago. What a waste.

I'm sure there is a reason but for the life of me I can't see why with West Brom's interest in Ighalo, our desire to sell him and our need for attacking talent, young talent, cheap talent & English talent, we haven't made some sort of deal here? Appears an absolutely baffling decision on the surface.

 

Because Berahino has been sulking so much he's barely kicked a ball for 18 months. When WBA get the money maybe the Ighalo sale will go through.

 

Pulis manages both clubs so easy for him to make a deal with himself. Either that or waheyges.
