Depends on price, Spurs were quoted £20m, you'd imagine it would be less now, anything £10m-£15m is good value

Won't happen, but I'm not sure he will get as big a team as he should after his actions during the last few windows. Maybe Palace will get him.

Has talent but I'm not sure the risk would be worth the potential damage to squad morale.

 

Err 100% yes please. Very talented and a natural goalscorer, plus HG and young as a bonus. Yep he made a poor decision and its cost him in various ways, not the only footballer to have made a mistake and doesn't always mean that's how they are forever.

He's a young guy who has made some mistakes but Pulis and West Brom aren't totally innocent in his constant transfer sagas. At the end of the day he's a fantastic young player and if we get him for £10m then one good season will see that value double no problem.

 

He has the same agent as Jerome Sinclair doesn't he?

I can see the appeal. He's scored a decent amount of goals in quite a bland team. I would be surprised if his goal tally doesn't get a boost from playing with Deeney.

I think his attitude problems are overstated. He's just an ambitious young kid who quite rightly wanted to try his hand at a higher level and got blocked from doing that. There's no doubt he dealt with it badly though, but hey, I was a **** at 21 too.

Plus, if he's ever in a position to ask for a move to a big club, that likely means he's done a bloody good job for us. Happy days.

To be honest I think I was a bit quick to jump to a decision last night. I was tired and wanted to go to bed.

There are question marks over his attitude but if he passed the personality test with Gino and the others, it would say a lot.

He's young and British, which is a big plus in today's transfer market. According to wiki though, hi scoring record for WBA is 1 in 4. A bit underwhelming isn't it?

 

A West Brom friend of mine (who goes to all the games) has this to say about him.

"Have him. He will eventually waste away at our place. Talented but lacks any application. Shame really".

Not worried about attitude, being his age Deeney will give him a clip round the ear and sort him out.

This smacks of 'lets leak that we're interested in young English players to appease the fans' kind of thing. Much like when the Pozzo's first took over.

Really? Hardly enough for the owners to feel the need to 'appease the fans'. Have I missed the protests?

 

You know what I mean. It doesn't take much for a club officer to brief the press saying we're after a young English striker. Then when you get the likes of high-grade saying we never sign English players they can point to this and say they looked at Berahino.

 

If he is really available for less than £10m it is an absolute no brainer

 

His supposed attitude problems have always seemed massively overstated to me to be honest.

He has been treated appalling throughout most of his time at West Brom and has been forced to play some of the most turgid football. Even despite this every time I've heard Pulis interviewed he's always maintained that Berahino is a good lad caught up in a tricky situation. There have also been rumours that he has been stuck in the middle of a tug of war between Pulis and the West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace as Pulis has been trying to force him out of the club for a while so that he can use the money gained to spend on his usual self-serving transfers where he buys players who's agents are his mates and pockets some of the money. This would also explain his lack of game time this season.
