Feel like there's no ******* chance whatsoever that of all of them, we will be seeing Estupinan there, or indeed in a yellow shirt ever, but then I'm no clairvoyant so who knows.

Couldn't spot any of them in the vids today.

Couldn't spot JP, Doucoure or Capoue either (nor Pereyra, but who cares?).

Did spot: Quina, Chalobah, Wilmot and I think Welbeck.

Seems most the British players are there, maybe some of the others above aren't because they went abroad on holiday and so will take a bit longer? Maybe Sarr, Doucs and Capoue got caught up in the quarantine?! They could just be steering clear of the club now of course.

Could it be they are no longer in a bubble and are staggering the days they return?

Or that the squad was simply split into two/three camps and some were elsewhere in LC?

Penaranda was in over the weekend having his Covid test and Joao Pedro flew back from Brazil on Friday as it was on their social media - so I don’t think it’s anything untoward. Pereyra was in Ibiza with other UK based Argentinian players so could well be quarantining? Joao Pedro was in Brazil and its bad there so could well also be doing so? Doucoure could have been in France? Coronavirus could well play havoc with pre-season.

There was also a lot of focus on certain players today (Foster, Masina...) - I expect the media team are told to focus on a certain group for whatever reason.

 

Easy to know why they were told to focus on Masina, he's one of our players with years left on his contract who no one will be foolish enough to buy off us.

 

This is so underrated, it’s a crime.

I just burst out laughing loud in my office and my colleague down the hallway just came in and asked if I was ok.

Which video? Wilmot’s injured so I’m surprised he’s in unless it was just to meet the boss. Was he maybe doing a little physio work?
Haven’t seen Welbeck yet in any of the videos I’ve watched.

Here's a list of players I noted at Shenley on Monday:-

Bachmann, Foster, Parkes, Cathcart, Dawson, Masina, Dele-Bashiru, Wilmot, Chalobah, Ngakia, Kabasele, Gray, Deeney, Quina, Cleverley. Mostly British based players, with the notable exceptions of Welbeck & Hughes.

Pereyra is definitely training in another country as he posted that on his Instagram.

Lots of players not back from what I could see. No Sarr, Deulofeu (no surprise though), Penaranda, Sema, Mariappa, Kiko, Janmaat(again no surprise with his injury), Estupinan, Suarez, Success, Doucoure, Capoue, Pedro or Pussetto from what I could see in the Instagram video the club posted.

 

I’m pretty certain the players have been split into a couple of groups for the first week of training. This is usually the case for the first couple of days of preseason, whilst fitness testing is performed.

 

I hope you are right, because if some of those missing from HB1's list are abroad will they have to self isolate when they get back? Or are footballers exempt from that as they are being tested op a regular basis?

 

Someone mentioned this in a reply to one of my posts the other day, I think I was commenting Suarez. However, what about players' families? If Jose Bloggso comes over from Spain with señora Bloggso and the niños aren't they supposed to quarantine?

 

No more videos of the session today yet, could indicate no additional players have arrived.

New video posted of yesterday shows Welbeck and Capoue were both at the training ground but weren't involved in the first training session.

 

We are playing Gillingham in a friendly at the training ground this afternoon.
