My other thread made in a moment of rage can't be taken seriously so yes, new thread.

Joshua King signs for Bournemouth today, could work out to be a shrewd signing.

QPR seem to have finally understood how to run properly and have signed the two very promising Swindon Town boys Luongo & Gladwin.

I don't think the Josh King signing is a good one for Muff. Very highly rated as a youngster, but has failed to live up to the hype. Not sure if Blackburn used him as a striker or as a winger, but 3 goals in 56 games is a pretty poor ratio. 1 goal in 630 minutes this season (0 assists). He's pacey but that's pretty much all he has.

  3. Muff hedging their bets and signing players who will fit in the champ in 16/17 if you ask me

    Josh King is pretty crap.

Federici and Boruc are good signings though.

Those two Swindon players were supposedly very close to signing for Villa so QPR probably tempted them with decent money as per usual

At least if QPR do pay them a lot of money they're spending it on two young players with plenty of potential, leaning more towards a Pozzo signing than Redknapp.

I hope they light up the championship like Paul Mayo, Joe Garner, and Will Hoskins did.

QPR preparing for league 1. Love it.

Bournemouth have signed Christian Atsu on a season-long loan. No idea if he's any good.

He was on loan at everton last season and he was poor, although he barely played.

A better signing than Josh King.

Not a bad deal by them to be honest, they are getting their dealings done quickly so their team has a full preseason together. Hopefully we do the same.

How many loans are you allowed in the PL? 2? If so, I wouldn't be happy if we signed Atsu.

That is one approach. I'd prefer quality over speed and quantity though. Muff have not signed anyone so far that is better than we already have. I'm confident that we will get who we need in time but, if we don't, I reckon our current squad will do ok against the bottom half of the EPL and muff and Naarch. That is all we need to do next season.

On the whole their deals haven't been great but Boruc/Federici would both be better than Bond as back up (although we will probably get a upgraded 2nd choice GK)

I'm not sure buying a multi-pack of Skips and hiring a new cleaning lady counts as "signings"

Got to love the Yaya Toure spin machine. After his agent has worked out that nobody else will get close to his astronomical City contract he has announced that "The fans don't need to worry - I'm definitely staying". I'm sure they are delighted Yaya after your thoroughly indifferent performances this year.

They have a history of signing quality though. Just look at Javi Guerra! He absolutely destroyed the Championship.

Leicester have responded to us beating them to Prodl by signing...

The Austrian Captain. For Fuchs sake.

    Lovely job.

Nigel Pearson's language really is getting out of hand though.

Sort of opposite players I read online. Fuchs loves getting forward and whips in a great cross but is slow and poor defensively. Prodl is solid defensively but slow also and prone to mistakes on the ball.

    Sylvain Distin has joined Bournemouth.

Is he their Matt Jackson/Chris Powell?

I see lots of people are saying he'll add experience etc. Bet he is on a huge wage. Howe liked to play the same team in every game and does a 37 year old really have the legs to be playing every game in the season?

He'll be Distin for the first game and Distout of the first team by Christmas after being given a remorseless run around by opposition players half his age.

£8m plus Fraser and Pitman is ludicrous.

  32. simms

Poor value for money if you compare it to £8m worth of the players we've been linked to. But it's concrete which is something we haven't achieved yet.

Isn't it just. Such a joke how being English = at least 50% mark-up as standard. I wasn't that impressed from what I saw of him last season either, maybe just a bad year. Potential's obviously there but made too many mistakes for my liking.

The wfc rumour mill is slowly driving me insane, but deals like this one just make me realise I'd rather wait and have us spend the right money on the right players.
