I can particularly recommend this part of the festival: Warning: The following links are NOT work or school safe in any way http://www.finance.si/galerije/328/9/ http://www.finance.si/galerije/328/10/ Pre-season 2010/11?
Yep I am currently thinking of a new username but can't think of a good one. My avatar thingy is Professor Green. Hes a music artist, started off doing rap battles for TheJumpOff, videos are on youtube they are f**king hilarious. Hes signed for Frank skinners label and is bringing out a new album soon.
So it's official. Jure will wear number 3 for the following season. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~1725666,00.html
Another braindead ***** then ? If Travner has secured the three shirt perhaps he is the starting left back after all. Curb his impetuosity and perhaps we have someone ready to fill Robbo's rather large boots.
I've just read his interview on the official site, and I am getting to like this boy more and more, I've a feeling we might have discovered a hidden gem, lets hope he lives up to my expectations!!!
HARD TO BEAT Wed 22 Jul 2009 AFTER signing on the dotted line, Slovenian defender Jure Travner spoke exclusively to www.watfordfc.com about his first impressions of Watford. "It's so beautiful here and everyone is lovely" the 23-year-old said. "Watford was the best choice and the best team for me and it's amazing to be here. "In Slovenia, Watford has a great reputation, everyone knows about it's history." Travner has three under 21 caps for his country and is hoping that playing in England will get him noticed by the senior national coach. "I think the move to England is very important for my career. "It works both ways, if you don't have experience with the international team, then you find it harder to get noticed abroad. "In Slovenia it is very hard to get into the national team, so I hope if I work hard for Watford here, I can gain international success as well. Jure Travnver Travner rises for a header against Wealdstone on Saturday The self-proclaimed "hard-to-beat" defender revealed that he leaves behind a bit of a reputation in his country. "I'm known as a hard, strong player in my country" said Travner. "I'm not dirty, just hard, good to have in defence. I was known to be good in one to ones and dribbling past players. "I am an aggressive player in defence but I also attack during a game. I'm defensive first, then attack. "Those are my attributes as a player." The Slovenian is relishing his chance at English football and can't wait to get stuck in with his new team mates during the pre-season trip to Spain this week. "I want to get a good strength up, adapt to the team and get to know everyone. "Then I will start on improving my skills as a player and to satisfy my new coach, and then hopefully get and keep a regular place in the team."
Maybe there was a misunderstanding. Maybe it was meant the now that the transfer happened everybody knows about Watford in Slovenia as the transfer got fairly big media attention in Slovenia.
I'd like to know if any Latvians are still following us now after the departure of Cauna. If Travner left bizi, would you hand on heart even care about our tiny parochial ,provincial with a capital P club ?
Now that's a good question. Of course I came because Travner joined Watford FC but when I will get to know a few users I don't know if I would left just like that.
I couldn't decide for a while if this thread needed Darth Vader or puppies, but in the end I went with the puppies.
Yves Makubu Ma-Kalambay? Dirk Kuyt (took me about 6 months to work it out, all the commentators said it differently) Martin Skrtel ??? The french dude we got on trial, claudio beauvue (sp?)
Kuyt's the only tricky one there. The other's are more or less phonetic. Claudio, as in the name Claudio. Beau, like the french word 'beau' Vue, like the french word 'vue', or the cinema chain. Plus, Travner? Where's the horrible inflection there?
