Oh god. Not sure I could take another season of paragraphs from Malteser about how he hates our manager, but he'll support him anyway!

Looked up Galli on wiki earlier. Said he had been head coach at Watford for the last 4 years. Got to love Wikipedia.

How does Appleton keep being linked with jobs? Never actually done anything at all, but fail really.

Karl Robinson would be interesting, but cannot see that happening!

Reminder that Beppe wasn't on the betting shortlist until the day before he was appointed.

I'd go with Tim Sherwood if the price was right.

Watford connections, looked promising with Spurs, speaks sense, not afraid to pick who he feels will do the best job, and good youth development.

He turned down a Premier League job. I have no idea why he's even being linked.

What an amazing appointment he would be. Knows the league, bags of experience, players would immediately know the name so instant respect.

    Oh.

Hope not. Great player but far too big a gamble at this time for us surely.

Garcia makes sense. Bit worried by the negative approach suggested by Brighton fans but he got them to the play offs with many injuries and not a great squad by all accounts. Possession is king which was the main reason I didn't like bepe's approach.

We need a manager that can speak English from the word go. No more using Marco Cesarini the physio to translate, no more communication issues, no more English lessons. If what Leventhal said is true re the communication issues, then any applicant who can't speak English should not be considered.

I don't think Garcia was necessarily negative with Brighton, he tried to play like Barcelona (where he learned coaching) but Brighton weren't good enough to play that way.

However if I could pick any off that list my choice would be RDM because I think he has the gravitas to demand instant player respect and cold hard professionalism. Galli would be cool as assistant.

Surely part of any appointment would be the style of football played. I know some opinions of his time at Brightin aren't good, but surely an attack minded footballer wants to play attacking football?

I think the appointment will be one of intent -if the attention in detail of our owners is anything to go by

Whoever comes in wasn't available when Sannino took over but his quality will be assured.

What about Tommy Docherty? Took United to the FA Cup Final and far more charisma then Dave Sexton and when it comes to tactical nous he's way ahead of Big Ron. As far as I know he's available.
